Lovely place, walking narrow streets, blending with people and seeing different cultures just in one place like Santorini. Ok maybe not as luxurious as Santorini, but still Paros keeps a more original image of cyclades.

Parikia is the main town on Paros and its capital. The part around the harbor is quite usual with a long stretch of bars, restaurants and hotels along the bay.
However, the most interesting part is set around the harbor to the right. This part is elevated and you can reach it climbing the stairs or ascending the winding streets from the main square - truly beautiful.

Beautiful city by the sea, with a great walkway along the water. Since we were there in November things were a bit quiet, but there were lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy in the busy season.

What we enjoyed the most was wandering the labyrinth of twisting narrow streets and seeing the homes, shops, small churches, and plazas. In many places they are covered in a canopy of bougainvillea.

Leaving the port, they gradually rise in height so in some places you have beautiful views of the harbor.

We went back and forth between staying in Parikia and Naoussa and decided on Parikia. Ultimately it was a great decision. We love this place and would stay here again. The streets are a little wider than Naxos and Myokonos and we enjoyed Paros more than either island as well. Parikia Town has plenty of great restaurants and shops that a well worth the stay. Also there are many local supermarkets if you are looking to make your own local cuisine.

Recently come home from 2 week stay in Paros. Before we booked did some research into the areas. Piarikia and Noussa, seemed to be the most lively. In the end out. I’ll as was between the two on the hill side. Neither were far away 5 mins to Pairilkia in the car and Noussa was 10. Out of the two we found pairikia to be better, as Noussa was very busy and eating in the restaurants we were very close to other tables. With covid still around we didyreally like it.lovely to walk around and have a drink, but because of the street lays outs being so small and winding you had no choice but to be close.
Piarikia has lots of little winding streets, with boutiques and restaurants dotted around. But it also has a long sea front, which gives you more room, and the ability to see the most gorgeous sunsets too. The area has a large port with 6 different ferry companies taking you to local islands and also Athens. On occasion a cruise ship would pull, which was quite interesting to watch.
You can get something for everyone, from cheap eats to high end restaurants. Majority are middle of the road prices.
This is our first time in Paros and I would definitely return to this area next t8me too.

Parikia offers you everything you need with a bits of spectacularity: nice beaches, variety of tavernas and stroll along the coast, and on the other side spectacular sunsets and authentic old town center. The old town resembles Thira on Santorini, but with less crowd and with reasonable prices. It is authentic cycladic style. If you climb up to the Church of Agios Konstantinos you will have great vistas, and also to the Saint Ana Holy chapel. Enjoy the walks through small white streets of old town, enjoy the great variety of tasty food, and sunset every day. The beaches are nice, you can easily spend the whole day, but they are definitely not the best ones on Paros. However, everything is very near to Parikia, because the island is so small, so I think that it is a good choice for your stay, and better than Noussa for 2 reasons: reasonable prices and less crowd!

Parikia is the capital of Paros Island and you will arrive here at the port when you take the ferry from Athens. First of all it looks quite pedestrian with a small beach stretch with a variety of retaurants at the bay. We liked the Mira restaurant which is owned by a Swiss-Greek family. When you go a bit furhter into the town you will find some small cute shops with fashion and decoration stuff and bars. We liked to stay here for 2 days and enjoyed to stroll around the narrow streets between the white houses with blue doors a lot.

Great old town with lots of narrow and picturesque hidden streets. Is a must place for shopping, dining, and relaxing.

Come here for shopping and beaches - avoid the crowds and high prices in Mykonos. This is much more authentically Greek and a lot less touristy.
