A visit to hook is never disappointing but on a clear day the view from the top of that lighthouse is spectacular. The cost is very reasonable and tours are every 30mins in season. The food is of average standard as are the other amenities.

This is a great location with fantastic views. The tour of the lighthouse was very interesting. Our guide was very informative and the quirky visual aids gave much information. The tour takes about an hour and is good value. There are, of course, quite a few steps but they are easier to climb than those in more modern lighthouses. The... More

We didn't go into the lighthouse/do the tour as the facility was obviously un-dog-friendly. This didn't bother us as it seemed expensive, & the cafe didn't look great - & we were there to walk! The lighthouse & grounds were a fine sight & very atmospheric. We struck out from there on a coastal path towards Slade castle. This was... More

A great tour, we had Mairead as our tour guide. She was great all throughout the tour and was knowledgable about Hook and the surrounding area. If you are down visiting Wexford, it is definitely worth a visit. It's only €9 for the tour too. There is a little cafe and gift shop too!

I was brought up on the Hook Peninsular but left to live in the UK many years ago. As a child, I went up the Hook tower a number of times. It was fantastic to visit again last week - the lighthouse is now open as a tourist attraction 362 days a year. It is hugely interesting in terms of... More

Tours run regularly every half an hour and cost €9 and kids under 5 free. We visited on a weekday at 4pm and our tour guide Robbie who was up the 115 steps to the top 7 times already that day, still managed to keep the tour friendly and interesting as he chatted away,so kudos to him. There are 2... More

We visited here late in the evening and were too late for the tours. As we walked around the guide came across us mid tour and allowed us to join the tour. He made the light house and the surrounding area really interesting. Well worth a visit

Really impressed by hook lighthouse guided tour. Really interesting and my 3 kids and 10 year old nephew were equally impressed and entralled. Had a picnic on the lawn than walked the costal path. Just perfect.
