The hairpin turns and steepness of the slopes made the visit to the fjords fun and exciting! It made us marvel at the skills of the coach drivers and provided great photo moments!

Eagle's bend, eagle's curve or hairpin turns are some of the name people use to describe this road on the opposite of the Dalsnibba mountain. You can see the fjord from a different angle and get some fantastic views from the viewpoint.

Ørnevegen –Eagle Road – is the name given to the steepest stretch of road up the mountain side from Geiranger towards Eidsdal on road no. 63. The road swings through 11 hairpin bends up from the Geirangerfjord and to the highest point on the stretch,...More

Nice view, but it was very misty when we were there. Not too bad to drive either up or down, as we expected.

It's another suggestion after you see Flydalsjuvet and Dalsnibba Mountain. Its located in the opposit side of Flydalsjuvet. Of course the view is espetacular. I've been there by bike, and even in a foggy day it worth.

Another great viewing point to enjoy the surroundings of Geiranger Fjord. Road drive is amazing but drive with extreme care. Views are scenic and there is a small waterfall as well near the parking area.

I'm not scared of heights too much but I must admit I had to close my eyes a few times during the way up through 11 harpin bends. If you are scared of heights go to Flydalsjuvet instead as its less scary and with better...More

Ørnesvingen in my opinion gives THE best stunning view of Geiranger and Geiranger fjord. IN order to take a good photograph I strongly advise to be aware of the time of day and sun position to avoid the worst shadows of the narrow fjord. For...More

Beautiful viewpoint on Eagle Road. Lots of hairpin curves, but worth it. You can see the seven sisters waterfalls from here as well as beautiful fjord views.

We drove on the Eagle’s Road (#63) coming from Alesund and driving to Geiranger – so we descended down the Eagle’s Road. There’s a spectacular view right before you descend where you can see the amazing fjord, then at every turn on the road, another...More
