Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is a lot of fuss about this beach like it is one of the most beautiful os Algarve. Is not bad but is not the best.
Excessively touristic and massive and so extremely crowded. Also, you have the boats and the jetskis passing all the time and making a lot of noise.
Most of the time, it is full of algae.
Personally, I saw better beaches in Algarve.

The beach is clean. It ends with the famous rocks that you can climb or pass between. The water is about 16 degrees in winter. And the great restaurant ‘O Luis’ is located here. Some people stay and free camp with their motorhomes here.

I went to Irmao for the moga festival.
Definitely a beautiful place but full of instragramers… the food is expensive and you need to book a table to have a chance to seat.
Not the best beach club, a lot of others around for sure! Miss the restaurant La Plage…

We spent a week in the Algarve and visited quite a few beaches in Alvor, Lagos, portimao, and Ferragudo - and this was by far our fav. We liked the little cove by the three brothers rocks. It was relatively quiet, the sea was beautiful and there was a nice little beach bar selling drinks and food and had a toilet. Gorgeous.

This beach is a must see. Beautifully set against high cliffs. Make sure to take a walk all the way to the cliffs and beyond, very much worth it. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent and there are several restaurants for drinks and lunch. We loved it, as did our kids (1,5 and 3,5 yrs).

An extension of the praia do Alvor but what a spectacular place to watch the sunset. The waves mean that you can walk out a long way from shore into warm water and wave surf.
Quiet and secluded compared to the main beach. It is a must visit whilst in Alvor and well worth the walk.

Great sandy beach, with very nicerocks forming a typical Algarvan scene. You can book a spectacular boat trip to (and in !!!) the narrow caves, an amazing trip that you shouldn't mis. Must do experience :)

The Praia da Rocha and the Tres Irmaos are lying next to each other, separated by a high rock formation, interconnected by tunnels. It is an overstatement, but if da Rocha, together with it's wide stretch of sandy beach, vendors, suncreams and cigarette butts is Mr. Hyde, than the Tres Irmaos with it's rock formations, caves, tunnels and hideouts is certainly Dr. Jekyll. Anyway, you just can't see one without the other.

We parked our car by the beach of Praia dos Trés irmãos on April 13, 2015. We had put most of put valuables in the boot of the car, locked everything up and went to the beach for one hour. Came back to find that a thief had taken everything from purses, cameras, and personal ID. The thief use a small punch to enter the drivers side.
Advice is carry your belongings with you, don't leave anything in the car

Sitting directly below the Pestana Alvor Praia Hotel, this beach is absolutely wonderful. From the fabulous beach restaurant, Atlantida, head left along the beach and through the passageways and tunnels of the huge sandstone cliffs. Here you will find little nooks and crannies which are brilliant for sunbathing.
When you see those wonderful photographs of the Algarve Beaches; nine times out of ten, they are taken here.
The beach also has other restaurants tucked into the cliffs and offer a good selection of food and drink.

Are there sun loungers to hire at this beach
Written 26 May 2019
Don't think there are sun loungers on Tres Irmaos. Just back & didnt see any. There are however on Alvor beach which is next to it ( either through the caves or from Prainha clube resort)

Quisiera saber si en Alvor hay excursiones para SUP o esnorquel. Gracias

Is there easy access to public transportation to and from this beach? Specifically would it be easy to pick up a taxi, we are coming from Portimão and would like to visit this beach while there for a day.
Written 15 November 2018
Yes, there are always taxis floating about by the beach or at the bottom of town. It’s only a few minutes to town from the beach anyway and the boardwalk makes it really accessible.

Combien de temps de marches ?
Written 17 September 2018
