We are a small, independent, friendly family run Canoe and Kayak Hire business located on the banks of the beautiful River Wye at Symonds Yat West. We hire Canadian canoes, sit in and sit on top kayaks for half day, three quarter day, full day hire as well as multi day hire trips We also offer canoe and kayak hire by the hour from our riverside base at Symonds Yat West Full details can be found on our website We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful little spot on the River Wye soon

All of the staff were so accommodating to us! We had a group of 12 and we all loved it and the views were amazing.

Great social work event! Great fun had all round! Good organisation and communication from booking all the way through to the day. Excellent safety briefing and top canoeing tips! Highly recommended. We'll be back next year with even more work colleagues!

Really brilliant day out from Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat. The team were so friendly and their briefing made us feel prepared and safe ready for our trip. The canoes were great and the Wye is such a beautiful river to canoe on. Highly recommend this company for your outing!

We hired a two man canoe on the 16/08/2023 and paddled from Kerne Bridge back down to Symonds Yat Canoe Hire which took approximately 2.5 hours.
No problems booking and good communication with all my questions. Meeting regarding safety and “how to do” all went smoothly. Transfer to Kerne Bridge was approx. 10 minutes and somebody was there at the end to get us off the canoe.
There were no negatives just a fantastic day out and if we do this again, and I hope we do, then we will definitely use Symonds Yat Canoe Hire again.

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable about things to do and see in the area. Launch site was quite busy but the staff managed to get our canoes in quickly so we beat the crowds & enjoyed more of a peaceful paddle. Absolute stunning scenery 😊

We went on one of the 3.5 hour canoe safaris down the Wye and enjoyed every minute. Instructions were clear and we felt confident despite it being just me (mum) with my two girls who are teens. Chaps running it were both really friendly and welcoming. Worth bearing in mind that it only took us just under two hours - but it’s surprising how quick teens can move once separated from their screens! A great afternoon in beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Can we just turn up ? as we only staying in Ross on Wye for a couple of days, and if weather is good we would like to take a half day canoe trip on the river Wye.

I believe so - but I'd recommend ringing on the morning to ask re availability. They were flexible with us as had another large group so we went a bit earlier than 1pm so they could take us up the river..
