    Opening Day!
Having Driven down from North East Scotland to take a group down, i couldn't come and not have a go myself. I used my Student Discount on the day and paid £25. The on the gate price would have been £62 otherwise. Which is incredibly steep for what's on offer. The £37 early bird prebook price would have been more acceptable. I was amazed at how relatively small the park is. Everything is within 10 minutes walk. Not gargantuan like Alton Towers. Though not so well themed. The park seemed as clean as you would expect. It was incredibly quiet. Queue times relatively short. Rides were breaking down in regular intervals due to wind and rain. I only rode The Swarm, Saw, Walking Dead. (Theme parks aren't really much fun on your own) but i am technically working and being paid to be here. (Bus driver) The rides were great! I was glad of a walk round the park. I've spent 5 hours here. And well worth the £25 entry fee. I can imagine the park being incredibly busy in summer due to the parks size, lack of dark rides. Its a rollercoaster haven. Reminds me of Knottsberry in California. But i wouldn't rate it as good as Alton Towers. And would see something like Black Pool Pleasure beach as better Value for money. All in all, an enjoyable experience at this price point, but i won't be back.
Hi there, Thank you for leaving you feedback. We are happy to hear you had an overall enjoyable experience and that you liked the rides! The park does get much busier in peak times, especially in the Summer. Kind regards, Isabelle | Customer Service Thorpe Park Resort

Thorpe Park Opening Weekend was great 👍
Absolutely brilliant to get back to the Island like no other after a long winter. Really busy as expected as it was opening weekend. Ride availability was a bit of an issue earlier on in the day and waited 1 hr and 10 mins for Saw the ride instead of 45 mins as the ride was on reduced capacity with only 3-4/5 trains in action. Great to get on the retheme of Storm in a teacup: Dobble tea party! Detonator was open for only a few hours in the morning due to high winds and never reopened again during the day, however a lot of test runs were completed. Nice to see also the Last Call Cafe as part of Ghost Train opening later in the spring, was open. Saw the ride at one point was advertising a 100 minute queue so everyone headed to the Fastrack kiosk and crowded that. Apart from ride availability and early season operations, it was a very enjoyable day!
Hi there, We are very happy to hear you had an overall enjoyable time at the park. Thank you for being understanding in circumstances where we faced ride downtime and unplanned closures. We hope to welcome you back again in our 2023 season! King regards, Isabelle | Customer Services Thorpe Park Resort

3 awesome days at Thorpe park resort
I had 3 awesome days on the island like no other. Met loads of new people and also got on loads of rides. Rumba is running the best I've ever seen it and it is now an absolute soaker of a ride. So thank you to all the thorpe staff who was working over the opening weekend you did a fantastic job and I cant wait to return on the 16th of April.
Hi there, Thank you for your 5* Review and your kind comments :) We're so happy to hear you had an awesome time! It's great to hear you met loads of new people too. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Kind regards, Isabelle | Customer Service Thorpe Park Resort

    Superb day out at GREAT…….THORPE…..PARK
What a fantastic day we had at this thrill seeking park! We were concerned about the rain when we arrived but once we were immersed in the “island like no other” it didn't impact our day one bit! It was a shame to see colossus and tidal wave closed for maintenance but this was clearly listed on the website pre arrival. We really hope tidal wave does open this year as it looked very tired and unused and it’s such a great spectacle for riders and onlookers! We braved Saw first, as it was running a low capacity and this was a great choice as it was busy all day. Right next to it samurai provided a great view of project exodus construction site (#excited!) whilst also being a thrilling and forceful ride! We also had 2 breathtaking rides on stealth which had superb operations, and the queue time rarely exceeded 20 minutes. On to Swarm, what a ride! The whole of swarm island is just fantastically themed and the first dive drop is just unbelievable! Though there were a few closures on this ride due to wind, we still had 2 great rides. The coasters are the draw card at this park but we have to mention the amazing operations on detonator, especially the commentary on the drop, creating atmosphere for not only the droppers but everyone around the surrounding area looking up and having a good laugh….choo choo! Overall, had an amazing day, can’t wait to come back!
Good morning, Thank you for leaving such a great 5* review! We are so pleased to hear that you had such a thrilling time, regardless of the rain. It is great that you managed to go on a few rides multiple times and that the queue waiting time didn’t impact negatively on your day. The Samurai does have lovely views and as you said, allows you to peek at our exciting new coasters progress. Weather, especially wind, can impact the availability of the rides, due to health and safety, but this is done in mind to keep our wonderful guests safe while at the park. It’s fantastic to hear that the commentary while on the Detonator kept you entertained. We are grateful for your comments and look forward to seeing you back soon! First visit
First time visiting the park, had a Decent first day. Although Some of the park could do with a lick of paint and a wee tidy up here and there. Showing some signs of age but it’s still a good theme park

Brilliant Day, Helpful staff, Amazing rollercoasters.
Absolutely incredible day! Rides had hardly any downtime, queue lines moved fast and plenty to look at whilst waiting! Staff were all very helpful… and the coasters, my god are they good. I am on the larger side and although it was a struggle to fit in a couple of them the staff took the time to squeeze me in! Also very glad they are doing some long awaited work on colossus.

    Great experience
Great experience. First time at a theme park. Wait times weren’t long, 45 mins was the longest wait, for Saw (think we just got there in good time) Had an issue in swarm with some idiots spitting at people on the rides, the staff dealt with it quickly.
Thank you for your 5* review. We are happy to hear that you had such a positive experience with us at the Park. We hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Toni | Customer Service Thorpe Park Resort

wow. it was amazing. the rides are really really good and it was such a fun and enjoyable day. i got on all the roller coasters and everything that was interesting to me. i could only make one pointer, on saw the ride they let everyone who had fast track in at once rather than gradually meaning that people in the regular queue had to wait around 80 minutes. apart from this the day was really really good. the fast track is definitely worth buying for one ride is you are desperate to go on it

    Best day!
We had the best time ever at a theme park and we go regularly to all theme parks across the uk. The staff were fab and really helpful. We stayed at the shark Lodge and the 2 hour fast pass was the best bit. Please don't get rid of it as we want to come back with Dad after knee surgery. If it wasn't for that we would have missed out on a few rides. The shark Lodge was so clean and fun for the kids. The shark Lodge staff were lovely. We enjoyed the funny sarcasm of the Nemesis tanoy remarks. Kids kept laughing at that. The best theme park visit ever. Kelly

Had a great day at Thorpe first weekend of August & finished the day with climbing The Swarm. This was a great experience and recommend to all who have wanted more time to take in the view from the top. Was very nice to see the park from that height. Our guide was superb and was happy to answer our questions. Was nice to chat with them about the park. We were up there way longer than we realised once we got down. Was with my young daughter and safety was taken seriously. Great to see the control room and the badge & lanyard were a nice touch too. Something I would very much like to do again one day.

@THORPEPARK absolutely disgraceful. So after travelling all that way with two excited children the park was closed!
Back and forth with emails the park offered us 3x priority passes each person, valid until June 2024 as good will gesture. Great we had plans for 2023 and wouldn’t be able to make the ‘guaranteed day back’ for this year. Unaware to us it was only the priority passes that were valid to this date not the ‘guaranteed day back’.
Wow as a company I thinks it’s disgusting, firstly leading us into false expectations of what was extended until 2024..
You expect us to buy more tickets to return after travelling all this was in the first place to be let down on arrival with no prior warning!
Disgusting!!

Thorpe park overall has gone down hill. The services are poor the staff there are rude. There is a lot of commotion with security and teenagers at the gates it’s not pleasant seeing that security arguing with children who don’t look a certain age saw the security was extremely rude and aggressive and to a women who had her staff badge for children she took to the theme park. The security seem prejudice to a certain group of people they needs to be trained to communicate and also have security from all backgrounds just like they have all different staff .
They need to have offer various foods that meet dietary requirements vegan kosher foods.

The rides are mediocre some rides work some does not there are no disability areas on the slide which is appalling as there should be access to all rides to children with disability especially a slide.
The staff was rude and dismissive when I asked as I had full passes for the theme park.
People spend a lot of money abc so the theme park should be addressing and improving areas to meet everyone needs including those with disabilities.

Terrible customer service.
I emailed customer service as I needed some information before purchasing an annual pass for my daughter as a gift. I emailed in December because I was going to buy it as a gift but three weeks later I still had not received a reply. I have emailed them again but I didn't even get an automated acknowledgement response to my first email so its clear to me they do not value customers and have no interest in assisting me with my enquiry. Appalling considering how much they charge for entry - only interested in getting your money, not answering queries.

For my trip to London, we went to Thorpe Park and we went on pretty much all the rides. And, after I got off samurai I went to see Hyperia (Opens in 2024) and It was pretty cool to see it. When I was on The Swarm, I saw the supports for Hyperia and I saw them as the train was at the brake run.

Case 11305144. Power Cut closing more than half the park before 12noon 21st July. Day 100% wasted for family of 3 traveling 190mile round trip, with the mayhem caused. 2.5hrs to get there for 2hrs of rides and ques. Staff in park useless to tell us what was happening. After more than an hour waiting after the power cut, and nothing coming back on we visited the other half of park and queues were horrendous, well they would be with double the people that were meant to be there, so we left On way out we were told to hang onto tickets for the Island Return Guarantee. No pamphlet to tell us conditions, just we'd get a free return. All my holidays were booked for the summer so zero chance of getting back till school term started back. Had a look a few times and wasnt seeing anything for weekends. All i could see was next weeks weekdays, sometimes a few avail, sometimes none. When you have children, why are weekends not available. Left it till October in hope weekend date appeared, which never happened, then there was nothing. Didnt realise park closed end October. Never been before. Tried customer service and with the 7 day replies that really were 7 days, the season was over before id got an escalated answer. Answer is they dont care. Escalated from Jannat with the "we are unable to assist" comment to 3 replies from Josh, who again was not willing to offer Return tickets. Best offer received was me to pay again, in full and id get 3off fast pass tickets. This is not acceptable for whats meant to be customer service, trying to remedy non-service of goods paid for. I can understand why Thorpe Park has low reviews with the Queus and overselling and happy to add to that due to abysmal customer service also. Island Return Guarantee means nothing. I had 6 weeks of unsuitable dates to choose from. Those who had Island returns from October have 6 months worth of dates next year which more than allows for advanced planning, even Sundays.
Letter on its way to Colin Elborough, Director of Operations. No response whatsoever from Neil Poulter General manager, whos email address gets you to Josh.

We went to the fright night, paid to stay in the hotel, which included maze passes. These passes were for the second day and we needed to leave at midday due to childcare. Firstly it makes no sense for the made passes to be on the second day. Second they wouldn’t swap the passes to the first day so I had to £60 for the mazes but this was after they sent us back and forth for nearly 2 hours suggesting we ask a different departments to see if they could change. Then the manager making the decision to not swap didn’t have the balls to come and tell us he sent someone else out. To change is totally in their power so to suggest there is nothing they could do was total nonsense. We also didn’t get given the maze tickets for the second day - we could have given them to someone in the same situation to us..Then we spent the whole evening queuing for the 3 mazes as the queues were mental so didn’t get to do any of the nighttime rides or other activities. Also the rides finished at 9pm but so did all the food. We therefore couldn’t get any food. Overall what should have been a great day turned into a great negative.
Then when raising the matter with customer services they were totally unsympathetic and their idea of compensation fell well short of the mark. We were offered half price park tickets and a couple of fast passes. So their idea is that we should pay them!!! I suggested they should at the very least refund us for the mazes but they refused. As a result we will not be returning.
More infuriated with customer services than the issues we experienced.

My husband surprised me and the kids to a day out at thorpe park, I diddnt want to go as my friend from work had a terrible experience at this place but my kids wanted to go very mum so i went along with it and i was excited to come home and write my review about this theme park in Chertsey. When i arrived their i felt extremely ill and i was debating if i should leave or not but i knew that would upset the kids. All i could hear was children off all ages screaming and shouting and their was no peace at all i was very upset about this and it even made me cry!! Lucky a member off staff got me a soft tissue and i told her my issue, she was very supportive and gave me a ice cold drink to cool me off which i appricated very much (thanks a lot sue x) She even gave me her number!! and we later on had some drinks and that while i told her my awful experince at this theme park. Anyways my husband has a illness and he suffers from migrains constanly and he got one after lunch which meant i had to go on the rides with kids instead of him which i was very unhappy about the first ride was painful and i would not stop spinning we went past the man who controlls it and i told him if he could slow down the ride or stop it and he ignored me sevral times which i was unhappy with. The next ride was even worse we were sat on a seat right on the ground for about 5 minites but it felt like 10 and then suddnley without any warning we shot up in the air which caused my wig t fall off i was not happy about this either and at this point i have had enough, its a lot of money to go to this utter rubbish park and i spoke to another member off staff and they were not helpful at all, i walked out of the park with my family as i was disucsted with what has happend.

Spent £150 for 2 tickets during half term to include the ‘scary mazes’. Due to the average TWO HOUR queue times managed only 4 rides and only 2 of the 3 mazes that were paid for on top of regular tickets.
Clearly this park is overselling tickets for it to reach a capacity where it takes two hours plus to go on rides! How do they think this is in any way acceptable?!
I contacted the park to complain and request a partial refund which I think is fair due to not being able to go on the rides advertised, however their poor response just refers to terms and conditions agreed to at time of booking tickets and offered discounted tickets and 6 fast track tickets. I explained the park is over a 500 mile round trip so wouldn’t return after paying £150 to stand in queues for over 7 hours!! Not the fun day out it should have been and advertising suggested it would be.
If you like staring at the back of strangers heads for a few hours at a time then a few minutes on a ride having paid a lot of money for the experience then this is definitely the place for you!
