Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve been going to yoga off and on for years but this is the best class I’ve been to. Vernette is a great teacher. She gives very clear direction and is always careful to make sure you are doing each pose correctly. The classes are always changing so you don’t get bored. They are both challenging and relaxing and I couldn’t recommend enough.

I choose to practise my yoga with Vernyoga as Vernette Butler is an outstanding yoga teacher. Her knowledge and understanding of the human body is exceptional and she completely appreciates that each and every human body in her class works differently - depending on the day! If you are new to yoga or an expert, there is something for you in Vernette's classes. She brings humour, passion and a completely unique teaching style that ensures you feel at one with yourself in each class. I highly recommend Vernyoga - Namaste.

Vern Yoga is run by Vernette who is an amazing teacher and an inspiration. Before I came to my first class I really didn’t know what to expect and was worried about what to expect. Vernette made me feel very welcome and comfortable quickly, as did the other attendees. Amazingly Vernette remembers everyone’s name and all their strengths and weaknesses. And so she tailors each class to each person there. Reassuring you that your version of a position is good enough for you.
Vernette’s experience and expertise extends to detailed anatomical knowledge. Not only can she take you through each hold safely, she imparts information about your body, so that you build knowledge and understanding about what is going on inside your body.
The range of classes on offer is extensive allowing opportunities to try something new. I’ve exceeded my expectations about what I can do and recommend Vern Yoga to everyone (whether they want it I or not!). I attended classes run by other yoga teachers – no one matches up to Vernette.
The shocking thing is that not only are classes at Vern Yoga the best that I have tried, they are the best value for money too. Consequently I travel over fifty miles to attend a weekly class. Twelve 105 minute classes costs £83.00 (paid in advance). That’s an amazing £3.95/hr! I’ve paid £10 for one hour classes local to where I live. Even if you pay Vernette as you go at £10 per class that still only £5.70/hr. As long as you give Vernette at least an hour notice that you can’t attend, then your money is not lost and rolls over to your next class. Â
Why not try something new like Kirtan Yoga and bang out the frustration of your day on a drum or shake out the pain with bells. Follow Vernette’s lead with the Sanskrit chant. Vernette does explain what each chat is about. But even if you do not understand, just feel the vibrations in the room lift your sprit to a new level. You just won’t believe how liberating it is until you’ve given it a go! Namaste

Been going to Vernette class for a year and a half. They are extremely enjoyable and great fun.
They have really helped me with my flexibility and core strength, keeping me injury-free for my other sports.
Great too for well being and centering...enabling me cope with every-day life!

I have been doing Vernette’s Yoga-Fusion class for around a year now and it has been a life saver, poor posture had been giving me back pain but I am now getting stronger week by week and protecting my body for the future.
She really knows her stuff, every class I learn something new about pilates or the human body. Understanding the principles of pilates & how your body works makes your practice so much more effective.
I start each class feeling tense & tight and I finish feeling re-set, re-aligned & lengthened. I notice the difference straight away after every class.
Vernette is great with understanding injuries and adjusting your practice to accommodate these. She checks your alignment to ensure you are safely doing each move. So you can rest assured you are in very good hands.
She has a warm personality and makes each and every class fun.

Once you have attended one of Vernette's classes you will not want to go anywhere else. Her knowledge, empathy and understanding of both body and soul are second to none as she makes each lesson both therapeutic and enjoyable. Thank you Vernette I always leave your classes feeling sooooo good xx

Vernette's classes are amazing. Her attention to everyone and her knowledge of the body and how to activate it to it's best potential is spot on. I have progressed mentally and physically so much more in her classes than anywhere else, this is due to her relaxed way of teaching, her injection of fun and playfulness that can be so lacking in other classes, making them dry. Recommended.

Vernette’s ability to make you feel like you’re the only one in the class and that she is speaking personally to you the whole time, is amazing. She is caring and able to modify for you and advise if you have any injuries whilst teaching a flow class and her anatomy knowledge of the body’s alignment (not the poses!) makes me feel safe, even when we are in a strong flow. I have only been going a couple of months and feel so much stronger and more mobile. I don’t feel like I struggle so much in daily life just to walk up a hill or lift something.
I have found the class strong sometimes but know that I can pause anytime and feel comfortable doing so.
Yoga can help with every aspect of fitness but like Vernette always says-you have to be consistent with it for it to help you in anyway that you are looking for it do so, mentally or physically.
Thank you Vernette for all that you do.

I've been going to Vernette's Thursday evening class for about a year. It's challenging and calming, a mix of yoga and pilates, it's made a real difference to my flexibility and posture. Some moves seem difficult at the time, but worth the rewards. Vernette is always happy to give you another option if you're unable to do a certain move. She's also very patient, thank you Vernette.
