What a great place to take the children, everyone there are volunteers and know everything about engines, large and small. The staff are friendly and happy to show you around the engines and for a fee will take you for a ride round the track through wooded areas under tunnels and seeing squirrels and bird that sit and watch the... Kids love the trains. Lots of things to look at whilst waiting for the rides. 2 routes with seperate queuing lines. Highly recommended.

We went on a lovely sunny day. I think is was the first Wednesday after Bank Holiday in August. Lovely grassy areas for a relaxed picnic a bit of a shame that there was no play equipment. My grandson (just 2years old) had a great time watching the trains being prepared. Unfortunately when we started our train ride the carriages... More

Cheap and enjoyed the set up. People were all very friendly, tickets were easily bought at the railway, and it was a good circuit around the area. Glad I went!

I have wanted to ride on the GCR for decades but have lived a long way away and it is rarely open at convenient times. (Sundays don't suit everybody.) So a Wednesday in August was my best chance. Whilst walking from Chertsey station is reasonable for anybody who is moderately fit the section along Hardwick Lane has no pavement, hardly... More

My husband & I took 3 adult nieces/nephew age 23-25 years old to this unusual treat - the miniature steam railway. They thought we were mad but thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I bought double rides - red and green rides. After the first loop we went to the little cafe within the "station". There were delicious looking cakes but as it... More

Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you all enjoyed your afternoon with us. You seem to have stumbled across a little secret of ours. You don't have to bring small children with you to have a good time! Sometimes it's just nice to come for your own enjoyment! I hope you'll put this to the test... More

I took my daughter to this today and she loved it. It was £3.50 per child/ £4.5 per adult which gave you a 13 minute ride on a mini steam train. It was good fun even for the adults, my four year old loved it, and the staff were all friendly too.

Really enjoyed a special few hours at this attraction today. I was visiting from out of the region and wanted something we could all enjoy with a two and half year old. Yes there was a bit of wait for some of the trains, but it was busy and the volunteers did everything they could to keep everyone happy and... More

Hi Karen, thank you for your kind review. Would your little one be the famous Alex? I never knew a toddler could contain so many tears. It was heartbreaking! However, he was fine once we got him on the rain so I hope he will remember his visit for the fun he had. Do come and see us again when... More
