Tucked away in a depressingly dated town mall, the Cromwell museum is a little gem. Good quality and informative exhibits are complimented by genuine and friendly people at the front desk. It's not big, but well worth a visit if you're passing by Cromwell.

Popped in to see the new display and I was impressed. There is a new display depicting "How we Got Here" . Giant photos are displayed on the walls and there is a very dinky real vintage car and motorcycle. Well done to the volunteers...More

Although displays still a work in progress in some areas it was very enjoyable viewing the history of the area. My special pick was the display of McNulty glassware

This little museum is a wealth of information. The staff are great and full of lots of stories about local history. Excellent video and model that shows how the town was before it was flooded. A must visit to find out more about the town.

Amazing history telling of the town being flooded and some buildings being moved brick by brick to make way for a water reservoir and dam. Fascinating. Great photographic exhibition related to saving the planet.Fab photos.

Truly! If you are visiting Cromwell, do visit this museum and meet wonderful curator - Anne, who knows so much about the exhibits and the local area. It's a real shame this wonderful museum is not easily visible, the map outside town centre is confusing,...More
