We were so glad we visited Murchison Falls on our Ugandan holiday as this park offered us the best authentic game viewing we had in Uganda, far outstripping Queen Elizabeth Park for variety and numbers of game. This included giraffe (not seen anywhere else except...More

The Nile coming down with a tremendous power into a 6 m canion. Absolutely impressive...but a lot of people (including with children!) are moving too close to the edge of the rocks just to take the perfect picture or selfie! Extremely dangerous! Maybe it would...More

If you are in this area then you absolutely must see the falls. Beautiful. We came by boat and then followed an easy trail to the falls.

Top of the falls is breath taking and truly the only way you can see how enormous the falls are. The boat ride was fun and relaxing but you really do stop far away from the bottom of the falls (because of our own safety)....More

Breathtaking! It was do much more than I hoped for. We had an excellent park ranger on the evening game drive and saw a lioness, elephants, water buffalo, wart hogs, giraffes, hippos, many varieties of birds and deer, crocodile, monkeys. The morning boat ride was...More

The parking lot looked quiet with no one around. There are 'squatty' bathrooms available near the parking lot. The short walk on a quite rocky path gives no indication that one of nature's most amazing waterfalls is up ahead. Take care as the rocks are...More

Took the boat trip run by Paraa Lodge. Turned out to be a good idea. We had the smallest and fastest boat which meant that we got to see all the crocs hippos and birds first - often scaring them off (I did feel a...More

Sorry but I had a pre-laid safari trip and cannot tell you the cost of the permit. Whatever the cost, I am sure it is nominal and definitely would not avoid the park for that reason. I would write to the lodge directly for... More
