Incredible Sunsets

Very accessible, yet quiet and secluded. Miles of soft, brown sand. Lots of tiny conchs in the water. A must if you're a fan of watching the sun set over the water.

A quiet long beach, one brilliant hotel (Beso del Viento), and a good mid-range price restaurant and bar. Riptides mean that it is not good to swim out too far. Local advice is not to go further than where you can stand waist deep in the water.

The beach stretches out on both sides into the haze. It is lined with tons of coconut trees. Smooth dark sand. Very straight beach. Nice big waves. Gloriously sunny. We stayed at La Isla and it had very nice cabins with kitchenette, lots if hammocks strung from coconut trees throughout a beautiful, well-groomed lawn. The beach is immense and almist... More

Way too quite, no options for restaurants or any activities. Unless you was a complete disconnection from life, world and people, this place is for you!

We stayed at the Tres Amigos in one of their houses. The beach is practically private as there were hardly any people around. Very nice, soft sand, no shells.

This beach is off the main road and as a result it gives you a more peaceful, private space. Turtles nest here, people surf here. It's a beautiful Pacific beach with palm trees and miles of clean sand. You could easily have a 5 a side football game on this beach it is huge, both long and deep. The water... More

It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica! Palmtrees, dark sand, warm water and just a few people!

This beach is deserted. I never saw more than one person anywhere and the beach stretches for miles. The waves are huge all the time and boogie boarding was really fun. Can't wait until next time.

We had a beach rental at this beach for two weeks and loved it. Yes, the sand is dark, but it is very soft. The best part of the two weeks was we hardly saw anyone there and when we did it was usually a local. The beach is perfect for wandering at low tide to look for shells and... More

We stayed at Clandestino Beach Lodge and spent several days swimming in the surf, lounging on the beach, and playing frisbee on the black sand beach. Saw lots of lizards, crabs, sand dollars, interesting birds, and some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen. Fantastic!
