This was great value for money. We got picked up from our B&B and only a short drive. Great day out, beautiful views and animals. Lovely thing to do with all the family. Would definitely reccomend to all.

The wildlife here is brilliant. The hanging bridges are secure and wel maintained. The variety of vegetation that surrounds you is mind blowing. The plants that we have as house plants here are enormous.

The Santa Elena Skywalk was a lovely experience. My daughter and I lived in Monteverde for three years in the early 90s. None of these "adventure tours" existed. We are a bit overwhelmed by the development, but wanted to check it out. . We chose Santa Elena skywalk because locals recommended it. We found it is quieter than others as the zip liners are separated from the canopy bridges and trails walks. I highly recommend paying for a guide at the reserve. you will have an expert and will see, hear and understand much more than doing the walk alone. People walked by our group and never saw the hummingbird on her nest or the howler in the tree. (unless we stopped them to share the joy). I have seen here and elsewhere complaints about tours that are too big a group or lousy "guides". I would recommend NOT buying a tour that loads people up in a bus and drags you all around together. At least that's not my fav. Guides can be arranged once you are at the SkyWalk. They keep group sizes lower. BTW I also recommend getting a local, Reserve guide at the Monteverde Reserve. There is NO WAY you will spot birds and animals much without one. unless you sneak around behind a guided group, or you are a tropical biologist.

We picked the wrong day to go to skywalk as it poured non stop.To be honest it is not well organised,we were picked up in a minibus and took a tortuous road to get there. When bus stops a guy comes up and tells you to sign in,counter guy gives you tickets and points to trail,no info or anything, the walk is ok,the bridges good to see and to look over canopy but on a wet miserable day there isn't much to see as all the animals are sheltering from the rain.It took us an hour to do walk and we got back to reception at 12-00 to be told 1st bus back to town was 1-00pm.We decided to go and see the hummingbirds for a cost of 5 dollars each and turned out to be highlight of the day with these beautiful little birds flying around the feeders and landing on your hand if you put it out.back at reception it's a free for all to get on bus but fortunately we got on and got dropped off in town.
