Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We got in with the Bodensee Erlebniskarte, so we didn't actually pay to get in, but it looked like the cost for a family ticket was €16. There is only really one room with various reptiles to see, including snakes, lizards and tortoises, we went round twice and were finished in about 30 minutes.

The animals looked well looked after, one of the enclosures was left open, although neither of the huge snakes inside looked as if they wanted to escape, which was good.

In this private atraction there is some snakes, iguanas and tortoises, but all in all not many animals to view. An hour is enough for a visit.

A nice thing was the snake that was available to touch, the kids loved it.

Arriving by bike this attraction is not easy to find. It is a smallish building behind the centre of Unteruhldingen.

If you are a reptile fan and also like being addressed in a "weak" way, the reptile house is the right place for you and you don't need to read any further at this point. However, this is probably a minority.
Considering that we were dealing with 14-year-olds, our two school classes looked at the terrariums for 20 minutes with more or less great interest. The information about the individual animals was rather sparse. The gentleman who was supposed to guide us and tell us something about the individual reptiles kept us waiting for almost half an hour. After I asked at the cash desk, it turned out that the same gentleman had already been walking around the building for a long time without announcing himself. We teachers did not realize that we were obviously supposed to beg him on his knees to please start the tour. The gentleman began his tour with almost frightening listlessness by preaching to us that these students had no interest in this reptile house anyway and had all left the exhibition after just five minutes (which is NOT true!). The gentleman in the exhibition continued to explain things only in response to questions from the students in a condescending tone that is unparalleled.
I would be surprised if any of our students would ever wander back here again - I was seen there "twice": the first and the last time.
