About
One does not need a time machine to make a journey into the past. The LVR-Industriemuseum Euskirchen offers visitors this fascinating experience at the former Tuchfabrik Müller (Cloth Factory). Here one feels as if one has been taken back decades in time. When in 1961 business declined at the factory which had existed since 1894, the factory-owner just locked the doors and left the production facilities as they were. For almost thirty years it sank into oblivion and then it was re-opened and is today an unusual museum. It is only possible to visit the historic cloth factory as part of a guided tour.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are several museums on the subject of weaving but this has working machines showing the processes from producing thread from the fleeces to finished cloth. Some items in the shop are made from the finished materials. Although there is a basic printed guide in English the guided tour is a much better option as the Guides speak fluent English.
The factory dates from the early 1900s and was operating, with the same equipment, until 1960. The factory stood idle for about 20 years before becoming a museum and the machinery being put back into working condition. A visit very worthwhile if in the area.

The great tour was carried out very clearly and with a lot of knowledge. Absolute Recommendation, great that there is such a museum. Suddenly a cloth has a completely different value. Thank you very much

I visited this cloth factory on a Sunday.
I have to say that I was really excited to see this beautiful location.
The factory is in great condition and seeing the production rooms and machines was a great experience.
I thought it was particularly great to see and hear the machines in operation. It was a harmonious and informative experience from start to finish.
The lady who gave the tour was also very nice and explained everything in a very amusing way the whole time. It was an entertaining visit that I would do again at any time.
I can really recommend a visit there, it is also suitable for slightly older children.
