Trim Castle is really interesting because it is the location where part of the movie Braveheart was shot. It also has an interesting light display at night. The town has some good restaurants and the Boyne river runs right by the castle. Trim is about...More

We had a great tour of this 800 year old castle. Our guide explained how the castle was built in stages and then took us up each level. Very complete.

We were just lucky to drive into this town. Certainly one of the best castles we visited in our 6 weeks in UK/Ireland. Bit of modern history with Brave Heart Take the time to drive out here it's worth it

Yes the tours are at regular times, you should go and google Trim Castle and find the seasonal information. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and is very infoprmative and amusing.

We were in a bus trip! Our bus driver gave us information outside the castle about it's construction and purpose. He then gave us a little information inside, and then left us on our own to explore!
