Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum is set inside the Abbey of St. Nilo. It is not always open, but when it is, it is a treasure trove of antiquity. Greco-Roman statuary and funerary items were found buried under the church dating back to 300 BC. The museum is well curated and offers interesting insights. It also includes frescos salvaged during reconstructions, as well as a beautiful example of Grotesque ceiling art . If you find this museo open when you visit the Abbey, it is well worth the 3 euro entry. Upstairs, the museum contains the oldest book in Europe, along with ancient manuscripts collected by the Byzantine Monks.

The Museum is located in the monastery of San Nile. It is an excellent museum containing many artefacts of religious and architectural significance. It has only a small door in the colonnade and is easily missed, but it is well worth a visit

We presented ourselves at the museum entrance at 5 p.m. The closing time indicated on the sign outside the Museum (and on Google) is 6pm. We were sent away without much compliment because, we were told, since there was no one (we were there...) "mathematically the ticket office closes". A nonsensical sentence in my view. In an hour a visit, even a quick one, I think could be done. They told us to come back the next day, which we won't.
That's too bad.
The church next door is very nice, as is the surrounding context.
