Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Church of Santa Maria e Rocco is a Romanesque building from the 12th - 13th century, in the historic center of Pitigliano.
It was rebuilt in the 15th century, commissioned by Pope Niccolò III Orsini.
The facade of the church has an oculus in the upper order while, in the lower order, there is a stone portal by Giovanni Dalmata da Traù, surmounted by a sculpted tympanum.
The interior is in Romanesque style, divided into three naves by two rows of pillars. The coats of arms of the feudal families of Pitigliano are frescoed in the rectangular apse.

This is the oldest church in Pitigliano. There is a great deal of spiritual history in this small town.

A small church of limited size, with minimalist furnishings, but with undoubted charm. Very welcoming in its sobriety.
