Even in November with poor weather conditions, this is worth visiting and bathing (if you dare). Excellent view of the waves when you are in. Also worth visiting another one to compare at the other side of the Island in Porto Do Cruz

Some of the pools were closed - probably because the waves breaking over them would sweep a child off the pathway.
But some people were braving the more rustic rock pools by the aquarium.

It was a very nice trip. The water at our time of visit was clean and warm. I think the sea temperature was about 23 Celsius, so fairly warm once you acclimatised from the warm air of Madeira which at the time was 25 Celsius....More
