This was a brilliant activity which the whole family enjoyed. Monty was really helpful and enthusiastic. This was the ideal way to see beautiful scenery at a leisurely pace. Will definitely be back to do a longer route. Thank you Monty and team.

We did the Hampton Loade to Arley trip. The safety talk given by Monty was great as we hadn't been canoeing for years! Felt safe in the boat with the life jacket on and I was surprised at how easy it was to manoeuvre. This was a gift for my husband's birthday and we absolutely loved it. Will definitely do a longer trip next time and stop off at a pub.

Lovely day out on the river, we chose the Hampton Loade to Bewdley route, around 3 hours on the water with a 40 minute refreshment stop at Arley. Felt safe in the boat, once I had got the gang of steering! Saw kingfishers and Herons along the way, my boys 12 really enjoyed and would definitely recommend and do again ourselves.

Fantastic day out for the whole family! We're a family of 5, 3 teens and no-one likes to paddle 100% of the time.
The introduction to the canoes and gear and paddles and dry bags provided was easy to understand and done with good cheer and a sense of humour.
We were helped onto the river, armed with good directions and confidence that we'd be met 1/2 way down to Arley on our 4 hour trip, with renewed directions about the 2nd half of the trip, after stopping on a beach 1/2 way for lunch.
The paddling was easy with several small but interesting rapids and even complete canoe novices will find the trip enjoyable and manageable.
There are no risky bits, but several fun bits and a few really tranquil stretches too.
We had a 3 man and a 2 man canoe and all the people on the trip were friendly and helped each other if needed, but the trip is so easy, you won't have any difficulties.
Lunch was appreciated and the 2nd part of the trip was about 1 hour or so, then we got out, helped again by the staff and walked up the hill (there's a pub with a nice pub garden to stop at if you fancy a proper lunch or a beverage afterwards) to the steam railway station to catch the steam train back in a 40 min trip and then a 15 min walk back to the car. A great day out and good memories made possible by a great team.
Book your spot now - you won't regret it :)

A really fun trip, Monty was brilliant, explained everything and was on hand at the meet points along the way, also got us last minute tickets for the steam train return trip. Have never seen so many ducks together, must have been several thousand!! We had a great time and would highly recommend

Not easy to find an activity that engages an age range from 10 to 71 for a few hours but this fits perfectly. Excellently organised from arrival to completion of the trip in Arley. The station is a 10 minute walk for the train back to Bridgnorth.
Great job Monty and team, thank you.

The group leaders were very friendly and punctual. The pace was very leisurely and the help in finding our way back to Bridgnorth was very helpful. That walk back coupled with a leisurely canoe down the river and a pub lunch was simply wonderful

We did the trip from bridgenorth to Arley. This was a 4 hour trip and then got the steam train back. There were 9 of us aged 7 to 67 and it was fabulous. Really well organised and I would highly recommend. Thank you so much

This is an activity we've been meaning to do for years - two families with teenagers, although I must admit being mainly nervous, and definitely less excited than the teenagers.
Monty was brilliant at delivering the serious information in a fun, none alarming way and once we'd done a bit of zig-zagging and going round in circles, the penny dropped and it was simply stunning. Our 3 canoes meandered our way to Arley where we stopped for a picnic, then on to Bewdley. The river was high after all the recent rain, and fast flowing, so minimal rapids, so despite it being the first time we'd canoed, we were on the water at Bridgnorth at 10.30, had an hour stop and stretch at Arley and were into Bewdley at 3.30. It did not feel like 14 miles.
It was great to see the guys from River Severn Canoes along the route reminding us of which side to (try and) stick to, and obstacles to avoid etc.
It's a workout, when the wind blows, you're quickly heading for the bank without some strong paddling, but it was fantastic fun and we will definitely do again - I really didn't think i'd be saying that!
