This is perfect for relaxation and cute little bkat ride experience. Everything form the waiting area to the actual island was so beautiful and fun. Definitely bring snacks and food and chairs better than blankets. Also some sort of floating device to lounge in the water. My kids had a ball in the safe water..seeing the fish as well. Gorgeous!

Beautiful place. Nice place for kids as the water is very clear and you can show them small schools of tiny fish. I also saw some Skipjacks and got a pic of them. The current to swim around the mangroves is daunting at best even for a good swimmer, hence my suggestion of a kayak which I know can be... More

I visited Gilligans island from the Copamarina, where I was staying. Captain Frank brought us over for $10 per person round trip. He also allowed us to choose the time we wanted to be picked up and brought us lunch as well. It was a short trip but it was beautiful waters, scenery, etc. I almost wished that the trip... More

We were lucky. We wound up going to Gilligan's Island on a beautiful Sunday. It was a wonderful experience. Lots and lots of local families, multi-generational groups out for the day. Lots of people, lots of music, lots of kids, everyone having a great day. I expected the mangroves to be murky, but the water was clear, great for swimming.... More

Often overlooked by tourists Gilligan's Island is a popular hang-out for locals, and for good reason. Situated on the south-west side of Puerto Rico the attraction is a stunning location to picnic or to enjoy the nearly unblemished beauty of a mangrove forest and the ecosystem protected among its roots. Accessible only by ferry or kayak the island is completely... More

Nice place to swim/pull yourself up in one direction and return on another channel by floating with the nice ocean current. Not a place to visit during weekends or when large crowds might be because there are very scarce spots to put your stuff. We took the ferry from the Copamarina hotel.

We parked free. The little ferry makes the short 5 minute trip out to what is actually a mangrove cay surrounded by crystal clear usually calm water. The bottom is white sand and varies in depth close in from 2 to 6 feet. Very clean and well maintained with picnic tables and BBQ grills. The boat comes and goes with... More

The water is shallow and warm for family fun. The scenery is also beautiful. Getting the ferry tickets is not the best experience -- we were about 10th in the line and waited for about 30 min as people were order the tickets and food. We then waited for another 40 min for the next boat ride. At the island... More

Gilligan's Island is closed on Mondays, gov't mandated. Our group did extensive research online night before and did not find this information anywhere. It's a two hour drive from San Juan to Guanica, which is where the Copa Marina resort is located, and around USD120.00 with an Uber. If you are not a Copa Marina Resort hotel guest you will... More
