Cabanos foram os homens que iniciaram um movimento armado para trazer de volta ao trono do Brasil, o Imperador D. Pedro I. A homenagem a estes homens está localizado na Praça dos Cabanos, junto ao letreiro com o nome da cidade "MARAGOGI". Há sempre muito movimento de veículos, portanto , todo cuidado é pouco.

Praça em homenagem a população conhecida como "cabanos" sendo eles negros, índios e mestiços que trabalhavam na exploração de produtos regionais e moravam em cabanas à beira dos rios. sendo assim, eram chamados de "cabanos" e para tentar sair do regime de injustiças e condições de miséria em que viviam se rebelaram. A revolta histórica, que explodiu na província do Pará em 1835, ficou conhecida como Cabanagem.

Ótimo pra tirar aquela fotinha. Como fica localizado na frente da estrada, foi um desafio enquadrar a gente pra uma selfie , uma vez que tínhamos que ficar na estrada, desafiando os carros. O horário que fomos tinha muito carro, mas conseguimos tirar a foto

Estava fazendo um passeio de buggy e o monumento é uma parada obrigatória para unas fotos, muito legais para ficarem de lembrança dessa maravilhosa praia.

O ponto turístico em si é ok, rende algumas fotos, porém a cidade em si é totalmente reprovada. Esgoto a céu aberto, desorganização, falta de fiscalização e segurança, animais abandonados, lixo e sujeira em todo lugar, inclusive na orla, por sinal fraquíssima. Não gostei da cidade e não pretendo voltar, há lugares infinitamente melhores no Nordeste.

Localizado bem na entrada da cidade com o seu letreiro, onde é parada obrigatoria para aquela foto, homenagem aos seus hérois e destaque que fica bem as margens da rodovia.

Local tradicional da cidade
Muito bom pra tirar as fotos, mas não passa disso
Tem apenas o letreiro e as grandes estátuas, a praça onde estão aparenta ser bem manutenida, mas por não ser na orla é pouco badalada
Fica as margens da AL 101, por isso é ótimo para quem estiver de carro, mesmo que de passagem, dar uma parada para fotos

Parada somente para fazer fotos, mas tome cuidado pois há uma avenida movimentada perto e pára o angulo ficar bom e pegar o letreiro inteiro vc precisa ficar no meio da rua.
