This walk starts at a lovely picnic area with lots of sheep and cute lambs EVERYWHERE! The walk goes from beautiful countryside to lush rainforest and the falls were beautiful.

Totally ended up here by accident and then it turned out it was one of the best waterfalls we have seen. A fairly easy walk, of around an hour, across farmland leads to this giant waterfall. It’s a definite must-see if you see the brown...More

Lovely short walk through farmland and bush to the falls. The falls are very nice without being outstanding, but definitely worth the drive from forgotten highway turnoff.

Very long drop from the top, over wide expanse of white rocks to the base. Nice walk through farmland and rainforest to get there, about 15 to 20 minutes each way.

As implied by the title - it's well worth breaking a journey for a relatively short walk to the falls; it is worth the effort (a lot of steps down and then back up) to go on to the second viewing point beyond the first...More

Not sure how someone (previous reviewer) could miss the obvious signs to these falls, touted as the second highest waterfall in the North Island. The Forgotten World Highway brochure from the i-site is good to have, but there is signage on the hwy, and then...More

Shortish walk through muddy farmland (it had been raining) and then along through bush before reaching a stunning bush-clad valley. Well-made path through the bush and excellent viewing platform overlooking the falls. Well worth it!

Drove on a gravel road for 30km and was unable to locate the falls. Definitely not safe if u were to break down as not many houses out there let alone lively houses. No reception either.

This is a turn off from the Forgotten Highway and it was about a 10 minute stroll to get to them. Quite spectacular especially as it had been raining. There are a few steps on the pathway and the walk is through farmland. Worth the...More
