Lake Tekapo was incredible. The place is the prettiest place we have ever seen and our favourite place in New Zealand. The colour of the lake is gorgeous and the surrounding Lupin flowers are magnificent. Our favourite day ever was hiring a couple of paddle...More

The lake is stunning and hard to miss, on a clear day you can see Mount Cook sitting majestically on the lake, at night the stars are beathtaking. A must visit

We just downloaded an app on our phone and looked at the stars using the app as the tours are quite expensive. Worth a visit to the lake!

This is a large beautiful lake that has Mt. Cook in it's background. At the lookout there is an historic church and a monument to a sheep dog.

We stopped here on the way to Mount Cook from Christchurch. Perfect for a walk and picnic. Very scenic lake. The hike to the observatory is also great or you can pay a fee and drive up.

What an exquisite part of the world this is. The blue lake, the surrounding mountains and the Lupins in Spring were a sight to see. One of the spots not to be missed if you are touring the South Island

Tekapo will take your breath away. The deep turquoise colour is astounding and if you are lucky enough to get a clear calm day it’s a sight that will live with you for the rest of your life. It’s the sort of place that words...More
