Myself and a group of students visited for a day trip from Glasgow, they picked us up from the bus stop and took us up to the farm. From here we had an amazing day of alpaca trekking, a tour of the farm, pottery, an incredible vegan lunch and gardening. Throughout the staff were friendly and welcoming, we learnt all about their way of life and the inner workings of the farm. I’ll definitely be coming back to visit, to get out of the city and reconnect!

Do not get put off by the religious connotations or the vegan food. You will meet friendly people from all over the world (in our case Lithuania, Argentina, France and Scotland) who are sociable and do not foist their views on you although you are welcome to join in. The vegan food is superb. we had dollops of curried potatoes followed by rice pudding for dinner then a choice of fruit salad and/or porridge and/or a tasty rice and vegetable dish for breakfast. The accommodation is modern, light, spacious and very clean. The culture is to take off shoes before entering buildings (underfloor heating means that you will not notice your lack of footwear) so crocs or similar footwear are a good idea. There is a short, few minutes, walk from your room to the dining room. The accommodation is on the outskirts of Lesmahagow and is very quiet with dark skies to see the stars. It is environmentally switched on. I rarely give 5 star reviews, something has to be exceptional to achieve that. Krishna Eco Farm is just that for the price that you pay.

I visit krishna eco farm regularly with my 9 year old daughter. We absolutely love it. We're always welcomed by the residents so warmly. We have been to lots of different events, including Holi festivals, yoga retreats and so much more. There's always things to do and people to talk to. The whole feel of the place and the people is so beautifully humbling and inspiring, making us want more and more visits.

I visited Krishna Eco Farm for a weekend, it was my first time staying at an Ashram and I was a little nervous but the community is very welcoming. Kirtan in the conservatory was absolutely amazing, if you get a chance to go and experience it do! It was wonderful to learn about Krishna Consciousness & meditate in the temple there. I will try to go back soon!
