Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An outstanding venue in a beautiful location with an incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining instructor.
I went there as part of their Woodland Warrior workshops and had a brilliant day with Nick and others and can't recommend it highly enough.
Their support for the armed forces, emergency services and key workers is exemplary and they should be fully commended for all they are doing.
In whatever guise, give it a try - you'll have a brilliant time and you won't regret the opportunity to reconnect that little bit to the natural world.

As a veteran attending their woodland warrior weekend I found my time there instrumental as a turning point in my recovery. Surrounded by nature I was able to take a step back and listen to other veterans of both our armed forces and emergency services, which given the setting, flowed organically.
Nick, Louise and their team are knowledgeable, organised and incredibly passionate about what they do. You are in incredibly safe hands.
If you are thinking about attending a weekend but are hesitant, don’t be. Send them an email and embrace the outdoors in a safe and comfortable environment.

This place and its ethos is magical. Its just what our group needed, time outdoors in the good company of Nick and Dan switching off from the frustrations of work and switching on to learning skills and just being together. Nick is knowledgeable, entertaining and wholehearted and this business contributes a lot to armed forces veterans and emergency service workers. Locally made food and homemade soup was warmed on the fire and provided in abundance with coffee and tea all day from the huge campfire kettle.

Attended a Key worker workshop and it was incredible. What Nick and his wife are doing is amazing. I enjoyed every moment and left feeling relaxed and even after one day my mindset has changed and I have been thinking about ways to improve my wellbeing and focus on sleep. I loved hearing about your experiences and can honestly say I would hugely recommend. Thank you so much

This is my second experience of a team day in Hidden Valley and it never disappoints. I cannot recommend this place enough!
The beautiful woodland setting was so relaxing and Nick, Louise and Steve were very welcoming and knowledgeable, teaching us new skills in relaxed, idyllic and peaceful surroundings.
The whole team spent time sitting around the undercover campfire out of the rain, spoon carving, learning about bush craft different trees, plants their uses and so much more whilst relaxed conversations flowed.
The health and safety aspect was clear and important to the facilitators, the refreshments came in abundance and lunch was great. If you are in need of a team day to refocus and reballance this is the place for you, you will not be disappointed.
Fabulous experience. Thanks Louise and Nick.

My team spent a wonderful day with Nic this week, an absolutely fantastic day, which was a wonderful combination of being close to nature whilst exploring mindfulness. We all felt very supported by Nick, who was very informative and we laughed a lot, which is always a good sign. Would thoroughly recommend checking out Hidden Valley Bushcraft. The sausage rolls were the best 10/10

A truely inspirational idea realised by Nick who is beyond Humble, friendly and highly knowledgeable. Personally, the day could not have been better. The days activities were really relaxed, informative and motivational. I would highly recommend a visit to Nick and team. Give yourself permission, and give it a go. You deserve it and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Nick for all that you do. You are a gentleman.

I had read the online and email detail. I was still really unsure what to expect. Dispute the wet weather, it was a great and enlightening experience. I could just be and exist in a small woodland with peer support and expert guidance. No pressure or rushing about. I am also the proud owner of the spoon I whittled. My journey to recovery is ongoing but Woodland Warriors was a great place to start it.

hi nick what you do is great but is The Woodland Warrior Programme and Hidden Valley Bushcraft just for armed forces personnel, veterans and members of the emergency services only or can anyone take part.
Written 4 July 2023
As far as I'm aware the HVB woodland programmes/activities are open to all.
The WWP is for AF personnel, Vets, and ES.
