There are all of nature. Mountain is a good shape. Lake is wide where you can take a walk and row a boat. Around lake are a lot of restaurants. You can eat a nice foods. Enjoy your life in Lake Haruna.

After the shrine if you have time take a bus to the lake. It’s only 10 min. The lakes spectacular. Well worth a look. The bus you get back on will take you directly to main train station.

It's a nice relaxing place for a stroll if the weather is nice. But as far as picturesque lakes go, this is nowhere near as nice as lake Chuzenji in Nikko. But... Haruna is a lot easier to access and the weather around Mt Haruna...More

This was a highlight of one of our many trips to Japan. There was a lot of snow, and the lake was partially frozen. Sun was out, and although it was still cold, the whole area was stunningly beautiful. We stayed for hours, just wondering...More

A beautiful spot made famous by anime & manga. It is worth a stop and a stroll, but definitely do not forget the little fried lake fish (see photo) which are a local delicacy. This volcanic lake is surrounded by lush forest-covered mountains. You can...More
