As a lover of Roman engineering, particularly water supply, I knew I had to stop to check this site out when I saw it on the Michelin map. You cannot possibly miss the aqueduct since it sides astride D657 (at Ruelle des Arches). There is a pullover area on the road. We only saw the section east of the road... More

This was a nice find. It is very interesting bit of ancient history. You can walk right up and touch something this old is amazing.

You can rent a house boat at several places on the Moselle river. It's fun and affordable. As you travel up the river coming from Metz you will pass the Aqueduct. From this perspective the view is - in my opinion perfect. Soon to your left you'll find the tiny port of Corny. Of course you'll have bicycles on board... More

A relatively quick drive from Metz to this 4th Centrury structure. I did not realise it runs right through the middle of the modern village!
