we took public bus from cherbourg to chateau stop. then 20-25 min walk , mostly sl downhill to chateau. few signs so need to ask directions. gardens and ponds worth a stroll and relaxing seat. unfortunately, chateau closed most of year. taxi back to town...More

We visited here on a cold March day. The castle and gardens are very beautiful and it is a lovely place for a walk. I'm not sure if you can get into the castle in the summertime.

It might be advertised as a "tourist attraction" but don't get fooled. Mainly is the place to stay and enjoy its beauty, nice weather and food you brought for a picnic. Plan you visit at leat for half a day, take your family, nice lunch...More

We stopped by here whilst killing time in Cherbourg waiting for our evening ferry. It is superb. So much space, lovely well tended gardens, a few bits of play equipment too. The grounds are massive! We stopped too for a cuppa and some hit chocolates...More

We were in Cherbourg for a day stop and visited Chateau des Ravalet after seeing it on TA. It didn't disappoint. Very easy to get to, take bus number 3 towards Eglantine (last stop) and it's a 5-10 min walk. Bus was €1.30 each way....More

Visited this Chateau and park. Wonderful setting, lots of space and picnic areas. The grounds are extensive, parking and entrance to park is free. Fee payable to enter Chateau. Cafe is cheerful and staff extremely helpful. Ducks are very noisy! But a lot of fun....More
