Το κομψό αυτό μπαρόκ αρχοντικό αποτελεί ένα από τα σημαντικότερα της πόλης Νότο. Κατασκευάστηκε το 1769, περίπου, με αρχιτέκτονα τον Francesco Paolo Labisi. Το Palazzo Astuto λειτούργησε κατά τις αρχές του 19ου αιώνα και ως βιβλιοθήκη και μουσείο, το οποίο φιλοξενούσε επίσης νομισματική συλλογή, εκθέματα φυσικής ιστορίας και μια πλούσια πινακοθήκη. Αποτέλεσε ένα από τα πρώτα μουσεία που δημιουργήθηκαν στη Σικελία. Μετά όμως το θάνατο του βαρόνου Antonino Astuto di Fargione, το μουσείο παρήκμασε και το μεγαλύτερο μέρος των εκθεμάτων πουλήθηκε από τους απογόνους του σε άλλα μουσεία και στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Παλέρμο. Η πρόσοψη του palazzo χωρίζεται σε δύο οριζόντια επίπεδα. Κυριαρχεί με το μέγεθος και το ύψος της η μεγαλόπρεπη τοξωτή είσοδος, η οποία έχει τοποθετημένο στην κορυφή της ένα υπέροχο ανάγλυφο με φυτικές αναπαραστάσεις και σε κάθε πλευρά της από δύο μεγάλες κολόνες, οι οποίες στηρίζουν το κεντρικό μπαλκόνι του αρχοντικού. Η κεντρική μπαλκονόπορτα προστατεύεται από ένα απλό σιδερένιο κιγκλίδωμα, ενώ την κορυφή της διακοσμεί ένα τριγωνικού σχήματος τύμπανο. Όλες οι μπαλκονόπορτες και των δύο ορόφων της πρόσοψης, διακοσμούνται από παρόμοια τύμπανα, τα οποία είναι ημικυκλικά στο ισόγειο και τριγωνικά στον όροφο. Τέλος, πάνω από κάθε μπαλκονόπορτα του 1ου ορόφου, έχει τοποθετηθεί κι από ένα τοξωτό παράθυρο, περίκλειστο από ένα πανέμορφο αισθητικά σφυρήλατο σιδερένιο κάγκελο.

Lo encontramos en la Via Cavour, una de las vías más importantes de la ciudad y donde la nobleza tras el terremoto de 1693 construyó magníficos y enormes palacios para los que en algunos casos el tiempo no ha pasado en vano.

Che balconi....

Come spesso capitato girovagando per Noto ci imbattiamo in questo palazzo per le porte e finestre colorate ma soprattutto per i decori dei balconi molto particolari.

Soggiorno in Sicilia - Agosto 2020.

Il palazzo è ubicato in Via Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, vicino al Palazzo Trigona di Cannicarao e al retro della Chiesa di Montevergine.
Venne edificato agli inizi del XVIII secolo, in stile barocco, su commissione della famiglia Astuto di Fargione e su probabile progetto dell’architetto Vincenzo Sinagra.
La facciata si sviluppa su tre piani che sono scanditi da sei pilastri squadrati con capitelli tuscanici. Al centro spicca il possente portale (occupa 2 piani) con arco a tutto sesto che è decorato da un altorilievo raffigurante motivi geometrici, da una ghiera artistica in ferro battuto ed è delimitato da 2 coppie di pilastri squadrati con capitelli corinzi; ai lati del portale principale ci sono 6 portali semplici a tutto sesto ribassato e, in corrispondenza, al primo piano, 6 balconi in ferro battuto bombato con finestroni sormontati da timpani semicircolari, tranne i due laterali che sono sormontati da timpani triangolari. All’ultimo piano ci sono 7 balconi, di cui il centrale, esteso quanto il sottostante portale, è semplice, mentre gli altri 6 (3 per lato) sono in ferro battuto bombato; tutti i balconi contengono finestroni sormontati da timpani triangolari; sopra i finestroni sono presenti finestrelle arcuate con grate in ferro battuto bombato. L’opera è completata da un elegante cornicione dentellato.
Non abbiamo visitato l’interno.

Al civico 48 di Via Cavour, uno degli edifici in stile barocco più interessanti di Noto: Palazzo Astuto di Fargione.
Edificio nobiliare, risale al 1769 e nel tempo fu destinato anche a sede museale. Oggi è sede di un'associazione culturale
Trovando il portone aperto ho curiosato anche all'interno ma la vista delle scalinate non è valsa il disturbo.
Sulla stessa via, al civico 93, un altro interessante edificio
