Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So overrated, we were told it was one of the most beautiful beaches in the world....obviously these people have not seen anything in their lives! Sorry but a big fat zero from us!
Be prepared to walk a good 20 minutes in dirt to find yourself in a dirty beach covered in dog pooh. Highly recommended bringing fresh water for the hike and don't go if you have health problems as there's no way of getting back fast. Big zero points from us. We were there summer 2019.

The thinkingingtraveller website says "beautiful selection of beaches are amongst the least frequented in Sicily". Not really. Even on a partially sunny Tuesday afternoon (albeit in August) this beach was packed, nearly like the platform of the Circle Line - pictures attached to prove it :( . It is not a small walk to get there, and lots had dragged their ombrelloni and everything else with them - Italian must have embrace fitness.
MISS IT, you can.

I think it’s a seasonal issue maybe (whereby the seaweed gets dragged in by the tide) however our experience of this beach was totally disappointing. We were recommended it by locals so we went with our 9 year old and mother. It was a 25-30 minute walk from the car park (3 euros) in the blistering heat through arid land and hot sand to get to Cala Mosche. For most under 15 and over 50 this isn’t good at all. You are not allow to use any balls, games, boules, bats etc on the beach. There are no facilities or shade so you need to carry water and an umbrella etc. Once there hot and bothered, we couldn’t enter the water because the sea was thick with seaweed like a dark cloud. Peoples’ legs were covered with black seaweed all over after a swim.

I’ve travelled globally and I love an adventure or new experience. I don’t mind working hard to find something special and love a rural, unspoilt find. This was certainly hard work and the result was rubbish frankly.

small beach, overcrowded with people (and I've been here on working day in june, so can't imagine how it's like in august/ weekend.
There is a sand, but it's not nice (greyish color). Water is clean (but it's everywhere in siciliy) and you have to walk in the water for a while before it gets relatively deep.
The worst thing is location - you park the car 2,5 km away and then you have to walk under the burning sun for 30 minutes. The walk is also not nice at all - overcrowded and in the middle of the field.
Parking costs 5 Euro and the personnel is not friendly at all. No facilities.

Haven't been too impressed with the beaches in South East Sicily. The baroque towns, food & drink make the holiday, you wouldn't come here solely for a beach holiday.

The people who gave 5 stars obviously haven't seen much more beautiful European beaches such as Elafonisi on Crete for example...

Situated in a nature reserve it's a leisurely flat albeit very hot in July 10 min walk from a car park which is accessed down a dirt track & 3 euro charge.

Relatively clean, gets very crowded although we stayed until 8 when the crowds disappear. Good swimming as the water is shallow. Not many fish for snorkelling fans.

Much better experience than some of this regions frankly awful concrete jungle, sun bed drenched beaches (e.g. Marina di Ragusa) but not 5 stars by any stretch of the imagination.

First visit to beach and a learning experience for sure, but first off living in Sicily we’ve had opportunity to go to different beaches and this is the first one where the water was so crystal clear even my husband who is 6 5’ could see his feet on the at the deepest points. It was nice and chilly and honestly stunning.

Pros/suggestions:
Get there EARLY for parking and for beach spot
Bring an umbrella, towels, and lots of sunscreen
Water shoes because the sand does have lava rock and it burns your feet.
Snorkeling gear

Warning:
It is a solid 15/20 min walk from parking to beach. This is ALL rough/rocky uneven terrain. There are several steps down to the beach area. In the Mediterranean Sun with little to no shade and gets very hot.
Carts/buggies are not allowed

Wonderful beach away from the main touristic places of the island. You need to leave your car and walk four about 30 minutes until you reach the beach. There is nothing around the beach therefore make sure you bring enough water and food with you!

You can find other beaches as beautiful as Cala mosche with no such a long walk. The panorama along the trail was not so special
