Just sitting in a Carbonara Taxi while on the way back from catania to Pozallo. We also used Carbonara from pozallo to Catania airport (as we picked up the rental car there).
Really great experience, throughout the entire “customer journey” - from first contact by email to being picked up/welcomed in Pozallo to the ride to Catania. Likewise the return where we got picked up at the hotel in Catania. Noteworthy are the friendliness (and safe style of driving by the drivers, by the way) of the drivers but also the ongoing support of Martina @ Carbonara office. She stayed with us while we moved back and forth (will we take, will we spend the amount of money, let’s get picked up somewhere else) and helped for a smooth organization. Yes, the price is a bit shocking but it’s the same for all, even low when compared to taxis in catania plus always remember that these guys have to drive you to your destination (Pozallo catania is around 1,5 hours) while they also have to drive back empty.
So, shop around if you like, take the train if you prefer … I can’t argue against any of this … but if you choose the transport as we did, rest assured that Carbonara taxi is a safe, reliable and good deal.

We arrived in Pozzallo ferry terminal on foot with no reservations and needed to go into town to take a bus to Catania airport. Thankfully a driver from Taxi Carbonaro offered to take us to the centre and even gave us a good price to drive us directly to the airport, so we scrapped the bus and went directly with him, which saved us alot of time. Highly recommended.

Great service and was really easy prebooking our trips with Martina via email. We used the service 3 times during our trip to Giarratana & Modica and drivers were prompt and carried out an easy drive - if I’m not wrong it was Giuseppe and Rosario. Prices were on the high side but well worth it. Will definitely use this service again next time we’re in Sicily.

We were a family of 5, including grandpa who has mobility problems. We spent a day in the south of Sicily, accompanied all the time by a van and driver. Ignazio the driver was brilliant. He helped grandpa on and off the van and found cafeterias and restaurants for us, which were open and accessible. He really understood what we wanted, that is, sightseeing while sitting comfortably in a van. We found him waiting for us at Pozzallo port in the morning, and he waited for us to embark in the evening, before he left. We were also very well guided by Martina in planning the day and she answered all our queries immediately. We really enjoyed the day and we definitely recommend Taxi Carbonaro for such trips. Thanks and we look forward to the next one.

We used this company to take us from Syracuse to the ferry terminal and then back again. The driver was on time with a clearly marked name board. Both times the car was clean and spacious for all our luggage. Our driver spoke some English so we could communicate. Everything was booked and paid in advance so we didn’t need to worry about cash or cards. Full recommend

They carried out a service from Pozzallo to Catania. They carried out the service with a large car and to respect the safety distances (Covid-19 case), a very kind, professional and patient driver although I got off the ferry after 3 hours from my arrival, for health checks.

We took a day trip from Malta to visit Sicily. Everything was arranged through Taxi Carbonaro and it was excellent. Giuseppe picked us up with the tour guide and it was excellent.
He was ready to pick up at every location on time and made this journey so successful. Highly recommended 👍

We used Carbonaro for 5 transfers within Sicily. The service was thoroughly reliable and fairly priced. On each occasion the vehicles were clean and well maintained and the drivers fully professional. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants a safe and reliable option for travel within Sicily.

With very little notice Martina saved my holiday by organizing a 1-day tour of Baroque places and Montalbano and a transfer in stages the following day! Mr Giuseppe is almost a tour guide, pleasant and helpful. Excellent service.

We used them to get from the Pozzallo Train Station to the Virtu Ferries Port and back again. We set it up using e-mail to communicate. They arrived early and held a sign for us at the port to make sure we found them easily. Both of our Drivers were excellent. If you need taxi service, they are the place to go. Grazie Mille.

I have used the taxi Carbonaro for the first time yesterday (14 August) . Picked up from the port of Pozzallo to Modica where we spent some time there. Phoned them to pick us up at 14.00 and take us to the Centro Commerciala La Fortezza. From there we were picked up again and back to the port of Pozzallo. I recommend this taxi firm, they are very professional and punctual, and are lovely people.
