Epic. Expectations were high for our week-long family Catamaran voyage around the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, chartered with GOA Catamaran. So when I say this trip far exceeded my already elevated expectations it’s because it was absolutely epic. I would go so far as to say there is no better way to enjoy this incredible archipelago. Enjoying this magical place with hotels and rental cars would have cost more, we would have seen less and done less, and we would never have relaxed and enjoyed the way we did. It was absolutely perfect. Our two families of 4 (mine and my wife’s sister’s) fit comfortably in GOA3 (Lagoon 380) and were able to visit the most beautiful beaches, coves, cliffs, and bays in Ibiza and Formentera in luxury and security, chosing our next destination every evening with our Captain (Jose) based on his intimate knowledge of the islands, the winds, and the waves, and we nailed it over and over again, anchoring day after day in a new paradise... We enjoyed the cleanest, clearest, turquoise waters imaginable, either hidden away in otherwise inaccessible coves, or anchored in the best spots where we enjoyed the incredible white sand beaches or were tendered in to visit one of the many famous watering holes and restaurantes around these islands when we felt like eating or drinking out. We were also able to disembark from time to time to visit the Ibizencan and Formenteran villages for some shopping in their fabulous boutiques or just to replenish stocks of food and drink on board as we continued our seemingly endless odyssey! But as all great things come to an end, we leave with our vivid memories and our many many pictures. Here are a couple of drone photos I took in Formentera, at Colodar (below the Mola Lighthouse) and over Ses Illetes. Thank you Jose and GOA! Absolutely awesome!

Amazing week!! Epic experience!!! I had great expectations for this week but I have to say that they were exceeded completely! Every day seemed impossible to beat but our captain Jose managed to take us to even more amazing places the next day. The best coves, turquoise waters and the best white sand beaches. Jose knows the islands perfectly and always found the best spots for us. We had planned this family vacation a long time ago and the memories in the catamaran GOA3 will stay with us forever. Thanks Jose!!

We were on the astrea 42 with our teenagers. Pit captain Juan was very secure in sailing the catamaran and the dinghy. We felt very safe and relaxed on the boat and in the water, because of him. To experience Ibiza and Formentera from the water and to wake up every morning in the most beautiful spots was amazing!!
