Although the lighthouse itself isn't much to look at it is worth walking to especially when the sea is rough as there are currents that meet by the lighthouse making for some interesting wild waves. Dangerous to swim in but great for watching. also worth...More

From the centre of Playa Blanca it will take approx. 45-50 minutes to walk to the lighthouse. Virtually the whole walk is on block paving so easily accessible apart from the last few hundred yards which is on a track. Take your camera!

We hired a bike from playa blanca, promenade runs from papagayo at one end to this lighthouse, it's merely a landmark, nothing to see when you get there other than the sea itself..on a windy day the waves were quite impressice

We could see the lighthouse from our hotel (Natura Palace) and saw the most beautiful sunsets behind it. We walked along the promenade to the lighthouse but apart from the sea crashing onto the rocks, there is very little to see.

If you enjoy a good sunset, then drive out to this lighthouse just as the sun is going down and enjoy a great view, with the sea splashing on the rocks below you and islands aglow with the setting sun - try it and enjoy

The lighthouse is really lovely to see operating from a distance, which we were able to do as we were staying a stones throw from it and had unimpeded views of it. However, it is a little sad when you make the journey towards it...More

Well worth a visit and a walk round the building but not a lot to see. We have found that the best day to visit is when the weather is wild as it does whip up the surf. The light is still operational in the...More
