    Fantastic place 😀
Spent 10 long days here for the first time. The place is great for relaxing, eating and shopping and comes with stunning views over to Fuerteventura. This place holds so much fun for all the family throughout the day and late evening. What's great too is you and walk from Playa Blanca to the Marina in less than 30 mins which is stunning along the way

Very small beach so not many sunloungers. We had to be there early to get a sunlounger, lots of people just sat on beach towels. The Marina restaurants are the best for friendly service but, the main side waiters are very arrogant and try to add food you haven't eaten onto your bill, they added 35 euros. Was an okay place but average

    Great beach and area
I find it more happening at night than Puerto del Carmen near Biosphere area. Promenade is beautiful for walking and hanging out. Lots of shops around not just cheap Chinese shops selling the same thing one shop after another. Great restos. And of course th e FABULOUS beach

    A stunning relaxing place
We spent a wonderful ten days in playa Blanca in the wonderful island of Lanzarote in August. It was our first time to visit the island. We hired a car and explored every inch of the island. There are so many hidden gens in Playa Blanca - the marina, beaches, people !!!! We stayed in the newer part which was great

Great quite place in the sun 🌞
Just a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine 🌞 it's the end of November, going into December and it's 23 and sunny/ cloudy. Perfect weather 👌 Playa blanca is pretty quite and good for relaxing, but with stuff to do. Not for the young or young families, they'll be bored. It's easy to drive over here, but taxis are available and buses 🚌 seem regular. If you're looking for a beach/ prom/walking holiday with loads of seaside views. This is the place for you.

    Pleasant enough
Visited here twice so far and not quite sure what to make of it. Nice enough seaside town with lots of shops and restaurants. But didn't quite grab us as much as Playa Del Carmen.

Great first time visit to Playa Blanca, Lanzarote.
So from first timers to Playa Blanca of a certain age, this review may help others considering PB. If you’re a regular then don’t bother to criticise. We loved the area and just walked either side of the Princess Yaiza where we stayed. Ate at several different restaurants but love the Volcan for value, atmosphere and friendly staff. Marina Rubicon is a great area of shops, restaurants and views of lovely yachts (can’t beat a coffee or drink on a lively Marina). The hotel was great with friendly , attentive staff but balconies on C wing don’t get as much sun as the other side D. Some completely obscured by palms. Also kids pools are that side so a bit noisier but who doesn’t like youngsters having a good time? Breakfast buffet was excellent. There two to choose from (plus an a la Carte). We didn’t eat other meals at the hotel. Two restaurants were closed for refurbishment but look close to reopening. The only criticism is that the very useful mini kitchen area with sink , full size fridge and microwave was not equipped with any crockery, cutlery or drying/ washing cloths which seemed bizarre. We took plates and knives from the buffet which they were quite happy with. There is a coffee maker with pods and a kettle and small cups/ saucers and tumblers but no wine glasses. In house entertainment was poor. Pools seemed heated but we didn’t use them. They were well kept and plenty of sunbeds with brollys but they are fixed , so could not be moved to your bed. The promenade is great, well maintained and right outside the hotel back gates. We took the ferry to Carrelejo and were glad we chose PB. More shops but nowhere near as nice in our opinion. Beach right outside the hotel looked lovely; we are not beach people but looked clean and well stocked with sunbeds and brollys. The weather was windy and cloudy on arrival on Jan 23rd but improved all week. Today -29th- is 24c with almost no wind. Perfect. So calm the world foil windsurfing championships could not start today as planned due to lack of wind! Hope you like PB as much as we did.

A place to relax unwind and if you can, do nothing.
The weather here is fantastic. We've been told that the island is sunny, pretty much all year. Here we are in early February and it is in the 20's. There is a promenade from the old castle to the light house at the other end of the bay. There is also a local volcano (extinct) that you can walk up. Once at the top you walk around the central circle of the volcanic centre. If you come up here, be careful because it is extremely windy, and if you have a hat you may lose it. I made a mistake of wearing a shirt and the pills kept hitting me in the face, this is a T-shirt day.

    Too busy
Too busy for me I prefer the more local and quieter areas near Ariciffe. Great weather in February . Not enough paved roads for cycling so had to take up gravel riding on the many dirt roads . Too busy to cycle along the prom !

Really like Lanzarote but if staying in Playa Blanca avoid staying in “Casa Sofia, vistas al mar” which can be found on booking. The pool was filthy, I thought it was just wear and tear but the bottom of the pool was black with mould. Water is off for half the day, so if you’re in the shower expect for it to be cut short.
It’s quite cheat so you do get what you pay for, but you might leave with a rash after dipping in the pool and not being able to wash off the scum!

From Puerto del Carmen, the road to Playa Blanca crosses the mountains. The winding descent is exhilarating for me as the driver. Beautiful views of the mountains, curvy road, the valley below and the Atlantic Coast beyond.

The area flanking the beach with shops, restaurants and accommodations is hopping. Nearby is a resort that is likely 5 star.

Amazing place, lovely hotels. I absolutely loved staying here, at Palmeras Gardens. Some of the drivers are slightly vicious but it's a great place for families. Great for people who love sports, or would like to hire bicycles or go diving. You can go on a submarine or a camel ride, it's brilliant. Lots of pretty beaches and adventures, good for everyone.

Playa Blanca translates as white beach
The only beach we saw when we arrived was a short section of largely unoccupied sand surrounded by a steep sea wall
The short section of pedestrianised road is the main shopping street I guess, all the shops sell the same tourist nonk, the buildings are tired and dated and unattractive, owners look bored, plenty of shuffling uninterested old people/ tourists trying to pass the time. We walked along the front, cheap restaurants selling tourist fare, chips etc. the only authentic looking Spanish place was shut. Lots of old tattooed Brits drinking in cheap looking bars, we stayed for 40 minutes and couldn’t wait to escape..
Seems like the big attraction is some hidden spoon in the pavement..!! We headed back to peurto calero and civilisation
