The "Cristo del Otero" is one of the highest crist-scultures on the world. You must visit it. It has also a small museum you can visit it for free.

We enjoyed a short visit to Palencia. If you are into Churches, cathedrals, architecture and all things 'statuey' and 'stony' you will definitely enjoy this place.

Having been to Rio De Janerio this statue fails to live up to its Brazilian counterpart. However this statue stands proudly over looking the town and is well worth seeing.
