Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a very interesting tour led by a young person who’s 1st language wasn’t English, but she did the tour speaking English very well. It is a 2 hour tour, the 1 st hour shows you around the place and explains the different stages the wine goes through from grape to bottling, the 2nd hour is wine tasting and eating snacks that complimented the wines we were drinking.
Excellent, would highly recommend.

The staff speaks and writes perfect English. Very helpful with booking. Informative tour! Learned a lot more than expected. The tasting was a bit rushed and the guide was a bit stressed with serving and informing at the same time. It would definitely be preferred with more focus on guiding the tasting while a second person took care of the serving.

Good visit to Bodegas Mendoza. They explain the wine making well although the part of the vineyard is limited since it is in Villena.

The tasting is great as they give you to try 7 wines accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses, and even chocolate with sweet wine.

Surprisingly, the wines are cheaper in the winery than in the shop, which is unusual, and if you become a member of the club, they have a 5% discount in the shop.

It is certainly a recommended visit if you are in the area.

They invited me to a tasting and the experience was extraordinary. Apart from Julián's detailed explanations, which helped me better understand the wine of this land, which I had barely had the opportunity to know, and to taste its great wines in a more than interesting tasting of 6 very different wines, I had a magnificent surprise of several of them. But especially Xaconero 2021, a soft but deep wine with very pleasant nuances. I classify it at the top of my ranking, a wine that I will always have in my small cellar. Congratulations Julián, a great experience that I will repeat, without a doubt.

We were 4 adults and 4 children under 5 (yeah I know) and the trip was great. The host who I can’t remember the name (sorry mate) was great! Nice guy and great information. The best bit of course was the tasting of the beautiful wines and the snacks (meat and cheese) was also great. They also kindly gave us a plate for the children which we really appreciated, I will visit again 10000%. We purchased a few cases of wine also which are so much better than your run of the mill supermarket stuff. 👍👍

The wines of the Alicante region are often overlooked in favour of those from the well known Rioja area in the north of Spain. Take a trip to this wonderful little winery minutes from the northern edge of Benidorm to sample the delights of local produce. The winery runs regular tours every day and these are hosted by a delightful and informed guide who instructs guests in the ecological policies of Bodegas Mendoza, the selection of grapes, and the wine making process. The tour includes the experimental field in the grounds, the bottling plant and the cask storage cellars. Our guide was Mayte and she informative and pleasant; willing to answer any questions during the visit and our hostess during the tasting. The cost of the tour is £20 euros which was well worth it.
Our party consisted of four 50yr old males and we booked a taxi from Benidorm for out 10am pre-booked tour. The taxi fare was about 11 euro each way and each leg of thre journey was about 10 miutes from our hotel (Flamingo Benidorm). On site we were joined by four other visitors to make a group of eight. The tour began promptly and lasted for about an hour with the tasting (six wines) taking a further 30 minutes. Once we had tasted the wine we adjourned to the clean, organised and well laid out wine shop where we made our purchases. The wine we had sampled had whetted our appetites for the Mendoza brand and our only disappointment was that we could not take more home.

We all bought according to our individual preferences and took the taxis back.

Once ome I found that the wine was even better and I look forward to next years visit to get some more. Unfortunately, Mendoza expeorts little of their produce since most goes to the local Spanish market.

This trip is for those interested in wine. You do not have to be an expert just enthusiastic for wine. It is suitable for adult groups since children are not allowed to drink. It makes such a pleasant complement to the Old Town and offers a completely different view of Benidorm. The facility is immaculately clean with spotless toilets. There are some steep steps in and out of the barrel cellar but other than that it is flat and on one level.

We set this up this wine tour ahead of our trip not knowing too much about there wines. The tour was wonderful as they told us how they grow the grapes, keep insects away etc and the whole process.
The wine tasting was wonderful. 7 varieties. The Santa Rosa blend is as good as any U.S. highly rated meritage . They don't mass produce so the wines are special. Highly recommend you visit.

Well worth the visit. The people are gracias. Marta was an excellent tour guide and extremely informative. Enrique came and spoke to us which made the experience even more wonderful. Appropriate tapas to accompany the wine tasting. Delightful and will go again when others visit us here in Alicante.
