I'm giving this museum 4 stars because it is different than others. If you like large displays of armor and vehicles, this is not for you. It does however provide an excellent perspective on Dutch life up to the war, during the occupation and during...More

This museum was one of the highlights of my trip to the Netherlands as I could feel the history in the area. It's a small museum but has interesting educational displays, some of which are interactive, and short movies that are worth watching.

If you are tired of traipsing around the usual wartime sites, drop in here, you won't be disappointed. Slightly off the beaten track and quite small this is a great museum that tends to focus more on civilian life overall. Really interesting with lovely keen...More

We didn't expect many people to be at the museum and we were surprised how many were visiting. It was well presented with information in german, dutch and english. It's much larger than you think, and we spent an educational and enlightening time there.

We only had an hour in this museum. One could spend a lot more time there. There is an informative movie, as well as a huge diorama of the entire geographical area around Nijmegan showing Operation Market Garden (fall of 1944). Lots of information about...More

We were on a trip looking at Operation Market Garden as in the film "a bridge too far" This is extensively covered here and a 3D map and commentary help bring the Nijmegen sector to life. There are plenty of translations and a few of...More
