Lidded Box one day course was absolutely brilliant!! I would highly recommended it, it really gives you a good introduction to woodworking. It’s is well planned and Mark is an absolutely brilliant teacher - he is passion about what he does, he is kind, funny, patience and with over 40yrs experience in the business.

The 1 day soft lidded box course course was great fun from start to finish but put together with real thought and care. We learned lots of valuable tips and tricks from planning our work, accurate measuring, safe machine cutting to precision blade cutting. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get started with woodworking. It was also a pleasure to share the day with Mark and his wealth of woodworking knowledge and witticisms! My soft lidded box has pride of place.

really excellent tuition, which was based on years of experience and tailored to clients with limited experience. We learnt practical skills and tips and were given the opportunity to use tools we otherwise would never have used.

I was curious about wood work and carpentry. I want to try my hand at something to see how much I enjoyed it and if I was any good. The basic wood working class is really informative and mark really covers so many bases in the 3 hour period. My knowledge of different tools has increased and my confident in working with wood has too. It was a really fun workshop and I'd highly recommend to anyone interested in exploring. A great place to start.

My partner and I had a private one-day woodworking lesson with Mark (fundamentals of woodworking and carpentry) and it time very well spent.
Mark accommodated our desire to be able to build shelving and storage units and built our knowledge up from planning, tools, know-how and practical application.
It was a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable day. Mark is an expert and personable tutor and we achieved all we hoped for and more.
I could not recommend Mark enough. Great tutoring at a very reasonable price.

Mark runs great courses here catering for all abilities. I did the 6 week stool making course. Not only was it informative and taught me many woodworking skills, it was - most importantly - fun and engaging. I learned so much and perhaps best of all, it wasnt all theory - you get proper hands on experience.

A fantastic day spent on a one-to-one course with Mark at Neon Saw. Just the sheer amount of knowledge and passion Mark has for woodworking can't be underestimated! I learnt so much in that one day, and really appreciated how Mark adapted the day to my ability. 100% would recommend this course to anyone looking for improving their woodworking skills.

I took part in the beginners woodwork course. Mark is such a patient, thorough and engaging teacher. He clearly cares about wood! I wanted to bring my name (Carpenter) alive and I really felt like I did. I have some disabilities and Mark was patient and supportive.
