Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best thing to do in Brighton. The lagoon is an amazing place to try water sports with incredibly supportive instructors and a great range of activities on offer. I’ve been a member for three years and have learnt so much from everyone at the centre. The Beginners’ wakeboard course is a fantastic and well priced way to give wakeboarding a try. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Me and my son went on a powerboat trip yesterday we had booked it on Tuesday and was really looking forward to it as we have been on them in other seasides in the past and really enjoyed them unfortunately yesterday we got absolutely drenched which really annoyed me as we had to go back to the hotel where we were staying in to get changed which messed up other plans we had made the skipper advised us we would get splashed which I was happy about and I was looking forward to the breeze on the water but in no way did I expect to get completely drenched on other speed boat trips I’ve been on in the the past one a couple of weeks ago in another location I didn’t even get splashed I think the skipper was going far to fast for the current tide which is why I got soaked and couldn’t even see the views along the coastline properly due to constantly having water splashed into my eyes causing them to sting and having a load of salty water go into my mouth and my son having to keep his eyes closed most of way back as the salty water kept splashing and stinging his too which spoiled the experience I also felt very anxious and uncomfortable too I’ve been on fast boats before but on calmer water due to the big waves yesterday the powerboat was too bumpy my feet kept slipping in the boat the metal handle was too far away from the back rest of the seat which made it uncomfortable to hold and have made my hands sore I also made the skipper aware that the bit that goes between your legs on the safety vest wasn’t clipped onto my sons vest properly and he didn’t bother to help him with it so it was just left undone so I feel that was a breach of safety and when I tried to tell him I wasn’t very happy with the experience of getting wet and him going to fast because of the constant bumps we had which made it uncomfortable ( it’s alright for him he was standing up the whole time so he wasn’t getting bashed about) he just said you wanted to get wet. Seriously? I also made them aware on my booking of having a disability and wasn’t asked about it at any point which is quite concerning considering it may have affected me going on a powerboat I’m very disappointed and would definitely not recommend!! Very overpriced from what I’m used to paying too so save your money and go somewhere else complete rip off and I feel the staff have no consideration for there customers

Completed an improver session with Neil at the weekend. Neil was extremely welcoming and supportive during the session whilst challenging everyone to improve their paddling skills.

The lagoon is a really good set up and is reasonably priced

Brilliant watersports centre to learn wakeboarding on the lagoon. Lovely young staff, super friendly and helpful. Nice little cafe too with snacks and coffee, perfect after a session in the water. They also do lots of work with kids with learning needs which is amazing.

Splendid little cafe that is open to the public with great choice of hot and cold drinks. The food is fresh and varied and everything is very well priced. Top spot for an even pint watching the sun go down in the west.

In June/July I completed the four session intro to wake boarding course. In four sessions I quickly built confidence riding the cables and by the end I was confidently able to ride any of the cables and complete some tricks. For £100 the intro course is well priced and definitely worth giving a try if you’ve ever been tempted.

A amazing place to go and learn a new hobbie especially throughout Covid-19 it’s outdoors and a pleasant environment to be in! the facilities where clean and tidy also following social distancing and disinfection protocols of all the equipment. It has a very calm vibe about it which I think a lot of people need in this unprecedented time. I always wanted to try wakeboarding but never had the time until I was furloughed so I booked the beginners wakeboarding lessons the instructors I had was Nick and Toby.... they both were fantastic they helped me so much and explained everything I needed to do and before you know it I was up on the board gliding across the water such an achievement and great experience I shall defiantly be returning. Thanks so much for all your help I have now found a hobbie I thoroughly enjoy and can’t wait to go again.

Extremely tatty and dirty establishment. Changing rooms were DISGUSTING. In Covid times I’d expect extra cleaning. Everyone was commenting on how awful it was. People seem nice and the signage is there but that’s it. This place is a disease spreader. Beware
