Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Here with friends for the 'See you next Tuesday ' comedy night. Quaint and intimate but the comedy was great.

Mixed bag as comedians tried out new material or developed their act but for £5..... Great value.

Drinks weren't expensive.

Comedy is subjective so i won't mention how bad the acts were just how run down and overpriced the place is, what a waste of money

Definitely a place to visit to take a break from the Brighton front. Martin was a fantastic host. We had no plans to go and only decided about 30 minutes before we arrived. A very small venue with a bar. Definitely a venue to visit for only £5!!

Okay some comics are just starting out and just weren’t funny, however, we still had some laughs.

This is an intimate venue, and if you rock up with the right mentality (and manners) you will have a BRILLIANT time as we did. #YesMartin was a top compère, the acts were exactly as we would’ve hope for, and some pushed the bar higher. Genuinely, I’d happily go back, and even if I weren’t in Brighton for that type of evening, it would be a definite consideration to extend my day/evening/weekend.

smallest comedy club ever, but the biggest laughs on the night
Martin (the Milky Bar Kid?) was hilarious. interacted with the audience and got us all involved.
6 acts trying new material with breaks after every two acts.
no pressure on the comics. great audience as the involvement was good.
its all small and cosy, the pictures on this review make it look a lot bigger than it actually is. bar is small as well , but well stocked- what's your flavour of Rum.
great value for money would recommend
book in advance as the venue is small but perfectly formed

Remarkable performances and the atmosphere is so great, I bet you a drink you won't resist staying after the show just in case the performers decide to come down for the standard no-filter chat and mixer (which they almost always do).

@robynhperkins was amazing so give her a follow on Instagram so you can catch her next performance! She wasn't afraid to seriously geek it up. It made me roar with laughter and I think my jaw hurt for at least a couple of hours.

What I love about the place (apart from the friendly owner who'll make you feel welcome without even trying)? I love that it's intimate to the point where no pretense or politeness is ever needed. It has all the ingredients of a great venue with enough intimacy and quirk to make it the start of your next 'the hole in the wall I discovered and will always remember' anecdote you pester your relatives with.

Highly recommended! Go see!

A very entertaining night, highly recommend! Get in quick as it’s a very intimate venue with limited seating, but makes it up close and personal. Will come again when next visiting Brighton.

Really quirky location and some brilliant comedy. A small, intimate room but it works really well. There is also a small bar area upstairs.

Tiny, intimate venue, which seems to attract a really friendly audience and great comedians.

We've been here twice with friends and the comperes and all of the comedians have been such high quality. A most excellent and great value night out.

And they order pizza in.

Up and coming tiny venue crammed full with 30 people for the secret comedy night - great value for money with more than 2 hours of comedy. Intimate with good natured audience interaction! Buy drinks from the bar to take to the basement and they will even order you excellent pizza from the Italian restaurant next door to take in with you too!
A great evening of laughs, recommended.
