Old castle sited on the cliff edge at Dunure. Some access is allowed put parts are blocked of for ssfety reasons. Intersting history going back to 1300s. Good parking with childrens play area and picnic tables . Toilets. Small harbour too. Good to visit.

This was always a place where I came when I was younger and I still come to. The castle it’s self is small but has a good history to it. I enjoy bringing my dogs up here for a walk from time to time

I go here everytime I go to Scotland. This time I wanted to see it because it was used as Selkie Island in the Outlander Series. Lovely place for a picnic lunch and they have barbecue pits there too.
