We came here by recommendation for the snorkelling - which was very good, but the best part of this beach was the setting, nestled right between the Pitons. What a glorious view to enjoy for a day! There are complimentary beach chairs, shade and restrooms...More

A good beach with no one around. I know it is low season. On this side of the island the water can be rougher, causing more stuff to wash ashore, but it isn't always rough...I'm on vacation anyway, so i will enjoy it and take...More

If we went staying on the other side of the island, Sandy beach would have been the local go to beach for our daily swims. SO PERFECT! Clean, safe, small rolling waves, no seaweed, crystal clear, beautiful surrounds, uncrowded and quiet. LOVED IT!

We did a tour of the sandy beach which is absolutely beautiful. They provided scuba diving and other fun amenities and a very nice Resturant while visiting the beach.

Great long beach to walk along but the water is still Atlantic Ocean so rough with lots of waves. Coconut beach is very similar.

Great beach in Vieux Fort not far from the airport. Nice to stop and soak in the views of the south island. Check out the bar Island Breeze while you are there!

Staying at the Coconut Bay resort is great, but the beach isn't wonderful for swimming. But, all you have to do is walk 10 minutes to the lovely Sandy Beach (yes, that's it's real name), and play in the water to your heart's content.

There are much closer beaches to access. Pigeon Island is one. There is a great national park there with hiking opportunities. Chair rental available. Rodney Bay is another option, although on cruise ship days, it's just... More

Yes, it's walkable. It's much better than the beach at coconut bay! Very clean, and a very nice walk where u will see the locals, as well as the horses on the beach!
