Great place for fishing and overnight camping. The place is both marsh and wetland. Please do not leave your garbage there. It's a place for migratory birds and a conservation area.

This is one of the picturesque location in the North of Qatar, favorite place for migratory birds as the place is both marsh and wetlands perfect for thier feeding grounds.

We were excited to re visit the Purple Island once more, this time kitted out with boots to traverse the terrain , invested with crabs! All very exciting... till we arrived! Sadly the meandering footpaths had flooded and a makeshift safety barricade was in place...More

We went purple island for eid holidays. but the way is closed. that path is fully immersed in the water. so we could not able enter that island.

Yes, there is no McDonalds or fancy parking and you do have to walk a bit (through a mangrove but on the remains of a levy that has been deliberately broken in place to prevent vehicles from accessing the island) It is a welcome change...More

There is no facilities or whatsoever in the Island, you have to be with nature and nature will take care of you.
