This is a good beach for sunning yourself, and if you like cooler refreshing ocean water. Neighboring Playa Pelada is prettier with warmer water.

I walked five miles everyday. Watch the tide table because it is difficult during high tide. Peaceful..... no buildings, no businesses, no one bothering you. It's total Pura Vida.

Very clean beach, good waves (for beginners), no facilities, cafés in walking distance, bring your own umbrella/sunshade as there are no trees on the beach which provide shade

This is the beach that you dream of when visiting Costa Rica. Gorgeous, clean, safe, absolutely natural and off the beaten track! Our 2 boys (9 & 10) learnt to surf here while we lazed on the beautiful sands.

Stunning beach, awesome waves and daily rainbows make this a magical place! Long stretch of beach, super clean and uncrowded, undeveloped.

Never get enough of this beach! The tide pools offer little places to relax and get wet. The beach is clean and beautiful. I love it here any day, rain, shine, sunset, sunrise!

There are little huts to get out of sun and watch all the surfers. Don't forget to look at nature! You can find howlett monkeys in the trees on the trail to beach. On the ground you will find small red crabs. Don't worry they...More

Clean, uncluttered, unpolluted, long stretch of waves, tidepools, surfing, kayaking, horseback riding, Nicaraguan pottery, lousy roads make great neighbors

If you are going to be there for a week or more I would recommend a a 4 x 4 and a golf cart. Its fun to travel around on a golf cart but for traveling away from town you will need the vehicle. Unless you are very good at... More
