Lovely

We went in rainy season, and it was still very nice. Maybe even nicer because it was so empty. Really a beautiful beach.

What a great beach! Perfect for soaking up the sun or learning to surf. It always seemed safe to leave our stuff behind while we went surfing. Don't forget your sunscreen, that sun is crazy powerful!

Consistent beach break with sandy beach bottom. Gorgeous sunsets. Perfect for beginners learning (white water) and the best surfers on larger days on the big green waves.

This is truly a surfers beach. Very long, good waves. The currents aren't good for non-surfers. It is very nice that there is a zone right along the beach that is protected and therefore nature is reclaiming its place. Trees or palms haven't grown yet, so there are few shaded places. In spite of this, it is a beautiful place.

Love, love, love this beach. So expansive that even when there's people around, it feels deserted. It beats out Samara and Playa Carrillo by a long shot in my opinion. Especially love the fact that no development is allowed within 200 meters of beach, so all you see is jungle behind you. Only drawback is no shade, so bring an... More

We arrived just before the peak season, so the town was a little sleepy and lots of construction when we arrived. You could tell there was a flurry of activity preparing businesses and places for the peak season. Although there was construction in a lot of places and a number of restaurants and hotels were not open yet (closed for... More

This is an awesome beach to watch the sunset at. Surfers love it. Very beautiful. It is also lovely and quiet to walk along during sunrise. I always feel safe here as a lone female traveler.

I went to the Nosara Institute to study yoga. I was already a certified yoga instructor. I highly recommend Nosara Institute and Nosara as a destination. I have returned many many times.
