We went here via a day trip and although our tour guide accompanied us, I don't think there are tour guides available to show you around. The Fortress is on the top of the island so make sure you wear decent walking shoes rather than...More

Do not skip going all the way up to the castle and by no means forget to wear sneakers beforehand! It's better to take a quick swim at the end of your visit to Gramvousa and spend more time up in the castle since you...More

This place is worth for a visit at least one time from everybody going in Chania. The waters, the scenery and the view from uphill on the fortress is amazing! Just take the boat from Kissamos port and you wont regret it!

Went on a day trip to Gramvousa fortress and it was really worth it even if the way up the hill was extremely exhausting. The view was amazing, kind of a "Jurassic park" feeling. Best day trip I made on Crete. Recommended.
