This is a nice cathedral, with exhibits about Ireland’s history inside. The graveyard is lovely with the remains of a fire temple. The round tower is impressive, one of only a couple you can go into and climb. The view from the top is spectacular...More

Really enjoyed the Cathedral, though it is almost an entirely restored (not original) building. Very peaceful, and the rebuilt fire pit is a unique touch. Definitely worth seeing if you're in Kildare. I did not climb the tower, as I have a problem with heights....More

If your at Kildare village or at Japanese gardens I would recommend popping down to see this place is very nice and cheap wouldn’t go out of my way but if your close well worth a look.

Arrived here 0930 Sun after driving from Dublin Airport and a must see location. Everything was locked up but eventually the outer gate was opened and the opportunity to walk the grounds enjoyed. The round tower was good but the Cathedral was superb. A haven...More

Plan to visit well before closing at 5.00pm. The cathedral is beautiful, peaceful & cool on a hot day! It was good to see a plan of how things may have been in early times. Outside the main entrance, make sure you put your right...More
