As a frequent visitor to the cafe prior to covid pandemic enjoying a very tasty well cooked meal I was very disappointed to say the least with my visit today 18/3, they no longer serve cooked lunches only sandwiches, which I have to say weren’t particularly nice, scones, cake etc, served on paper plates, coffee in paper cups, wooden knives & forks, They appear to have spent a lot of money on a new kitchen etc but judging by the number of people actually eating I think it is a waste of money, it used to be bursting at the seams but certainly not now, I won’t be in a hurry to return.
Very very disappointing!

I agree with previous comments.
Very disappointed. I appreciate the opportunity given to young adults with difficulties but having been a regular visitor for food we will be avoiding the cafe in the future.
The choice of food and drink and ambience is totally lost. As for weekend closure I can't understand the rationale. What a shame.

Visited the newly opened cafe today 13th jan 2022 and was sorely disappointed.... what have they done it’s totally changed and NOT in a good way! Paper plates, paper cups and useless wooden cutlery that breaks while using them. Aren’t we supposed to be stopping using disposable items to help the planet? This used to be a really brilliant place to eat with a very varied menu... the only choice we had today was a ham and cheese panini or a Smoked ham and cheese panini. No hot main meals to be had just scones, cakes, quiche or panini’s. There used to be queue’s but surprisingly not now. I definitely won’t be back as there’s better places in cramlington to visit and cheaper too. It’s a good cafe spoilt unfortunately and it will be there own doing. Shame on you Azure!

New Cafe was an absolute disaster. Fair enough if they're possibly waiting for the pandemic to ease , but serving my coffee in a paper cup which had no coffee in it whatsoever and when asked for a replacement was served up the same again. The people serving the coffee didn't have the slightest clue how to make coffee and in these current coffee culture times if you don't get it at least half right you're not going to get repeat custom.
Shame because the Cafe has been refurbished and looked inviting.
Bring back the old Cafe if thats how the future is going to be.
Won't be returning until I hopefully hear on the grapevine of any spectacular changes.

Regarding the cafe, not the garden centre. We visited for the first time in 18 months because of covid and boy has it changed, we used to go there every few weeks for lunch. It used to be fantastic, big choice of proper meals or lighter meals and queues to get served at the food counter. The cafe has been updated, new flooring and the counters have been replaced (and there are fewer, spaces or tables, which is good). Now all there is is a few quiches, a few cakes and apparently paninis or toasties, though there is no menu displayed. Although the cake looked delicious and indeed the quiche was lovely but the side salad was awful. We were looking forward to bacon sarnies, chips, corned beef pie that they used to do. But worse, they are using paper plates, paper cups and disposable wooden cutlery although other cafes are managing fine with proper crockery. There is an open kitchen with 10+ staff in doing Lord knows what and that was entirely empty when we left about 12.30. Sorry, won't be back

Very impressed with the quality of the plants and the price. Will be back for more, especially the perennials and wild bird kit.

Visited Azure Garden Centre today and I must say I felt totally unsafe you wouldn’t think we were in the middle of a pandemic. Yes there were signs and floor markings advising people to social distance but nobody was taking any notice and families were letting there children run about unattended. There were no staff to marshal the distancing albeit that would be a thankless task. It was like a cattle truck and I have never felt so relieved to get out of a store. Spoke to the checkout attendant about my concerns and they said they didn’t they didn’t feel safe coming to work.
If you value your health stay away, if you own this store shame on you

We really called for breakfast only to fine the cafe was shut. There was a small coffee shop, but you had to sit in the the freezing cold area of the centre!! The plants were ok, but expensive
