A lot depends on the wind direction, but as others have said the taverna is a real bonus- catch the E5 pp return boat from town but dont go to the end of the trip beach - nice sand.

If you stay on this little island you have to eat at this restaurant. The view is stunnig and the home made food is deliciuos. We ate there several times, always satisfayed. The appetisers are great (zuchini balls!!!) and the main courses are very good. They have the traditional meat from grill, also fresh fish. They serve fresh fruit (try the figs and nectarines) desert and some sweets. Even when you can see the sea in the evening, go there for dinner. The staff and the family who ownes it are very nice. Nice, small sandy beach, close to Finikas tavern, thus food, drinks and toilets nearby. Possibility to get there is by foot (from the Hora village) or by boats that bring tourists to beaches starting from the Harbour. Be aware that your towels, beach bags and other stuff might be “attacked “by waves . There are usually 3 bigger waves coming between 12:30 and 13:00 at the end of July, beginning of August. I could not find the connection with passing boats, thus I assume they are related to a tide. Every day it is a same story, people running to remove their wet soaked stuff and move ….. Those who know the “drill” are waiting and enjoying the moment…
