Spent some time in the Dordogne and took a river cruise. A fantastic experience with an excellent commentary. A 2 hour trip that featured a number of magnificent chateaus. Really enjoyed the explanation of the importance of the river as a trading channel. You could...More

One of the must visit places in La Roque Gageac. Just down from the best wine shop in the area. Really interesting, loads of bamboo varieties with a clear and easy path. Helpful English speaking staff.

A beautiful village, clinging to the cliff side above the Dordogne. Can be 'done' in a few hours - that's plenty of time to have a wander up the cobbled streets, taking in the architecture and the tropical garden (complete with banana trees).
