Well worth a visit, although I'm not sure where the street ends and the gardens start. Banana trees and exotic plants all in a walk way set above and away from the main road.

unique, expansive, serene experience. A special place worth visiting. the owners of this garden clearly love bamboo and value sharing its beauty.

This was a fun little stop on our 9 mile canoe ride down the Dordogne. Wander up the little tangle of this quaint town and enjoy the cacti and flowers. The best part is it's free, perfect for budget-minded travelers. Stay awhile or just pop...More

Stumbled across this by accident just behind the Main Street and what a great place! This is such a gorgeous well maintained little village and the gardens really set it off. It was quiet and showery when we were there but no less attractive.

When we first visited this meandering garden some two decades ago it was blooming marvellous. Nowadays it is less blooming and more sprawling but that perhaps gives a jungly authenticity. Too much bamboo for our taste and this invasive species seems to be crowding out...More

Talking a walk under the banana trees is just special. To see such exotic plants grow right next to a medieval looking village is fascinating.

This little town is a totally lovely experience, it seems to clinging to the banks of the Dordogne whilst being overshadowed by the cliffs above it. The garden walk gives the opportunity to mingle between the houses and shops below and the rocks above. Lovely...More
